when are they going to ban all users on steam that change their store currency to shitty 3rd world country money with a vpn, which makes everything 50-80% cheaper, ive been using this scheme for about a year now, i expected to get banned long ago

btw, for anyone interested, instructions:
>go to argentina/russia with vpn while steam is closed (best prices)
>open steam, account settings, update store country
>select new country, fill out any other info
you won't be able to use your credit card on this account until you change the store country back, so:
>make a new account, use an old unused one, or ask for a friend you trust, you need another steam account that was on the friend list of your main for at least 2 weeks
>use that account to send a digital gift card to your main, which will convert to the argentina/russia currency
and thats how you get any game for 50-80% off, check steamdb.info for price details

dumbest shit i've read in a long while
you can simply just buy keys from resellers like cdkeys they're cheap enough, going through the trouble just to save a few bucks is just pathetic

lets take halo mcc for example, cheapest cd key is 35 bucks, while on russian steam store its fucking 8 dollars
i saved around 400 dollars the past year just by doing this, also, it took me 20 minutes to do all this the first time ive done this, retard

also, you only have to do this once, the store stays in that currency for ever, you only need the gift card from the other account

I've always wondered why they even bother with 3rd world countries like russia and stuff. Is it really that much they earn from those shitholes?

just move to a 3rd world country, you can't even use the store page navigation to the change the currency
cheap skates like you probably have other issues than just money
kys autismo

i have read people get bannes from this, is it worst case scenario?

i suppose if you were to change countries evey week, valve would notice, other than that its safe, most of my friends use this and nobody i know got banned

Yea too bad we can’t all be like you. Dipshits that get ripped off.

just make a 2nd account spend 5$ a year and gift your main with it then keep your main in the other country when you get the games edit to your langauge GG you speak to russian friends on steam it will just say you live in russia the only downside

what is the point of changing back?

of course you get banned and your games are region locked to whatever 3rd word country you got it from and need a vpn to play them
boo fucking hoo those $5 that I might have saved really going to have a impact on my life
eng yourself

not changing back, but changing to other countries, some games are cheaper in argentina, some are cheaper in russia

pick one lol you dont need to minmax you sound like you work at steam want to get banned change country every few weeks and forget your vpn once want not to get banned pick a country and use vpn if they question you say that you have family in x country that you stay with throught the year

using reseller's keys on steam is against the TOS

if you're this poor, just pirate it

or if you have patience and money swap country use vpn gift card $1000-2000 buy up a shit ton of games like all the games you will want for the next however long dont use steam for 3 months change back you moved to x country but it didnt work out and you thought you would be working from home and your friend gifted you the money as a fair well present but like you said it didnt work out

your monkey brain is against the TOS

And Valve caught on to that, resulting in newer games being priced much higher. Thanks for that.
Might as well go all the way and pirate them if you are willing to do stuff like that.

>going through all this bullshit just to play with your 3rd world region locked games with 3rd world degenerates through a fucking VPN just to save a few bucks
has to be severe mental illness
final bump

what? they arent region locked retard

What are you talking faggot? You can make an account for singleplayer and multiplayers games.

Not that user. I am told if you got that game from 3rd world, so it is more likely to be region locked. If you switch back to US, that game may not be installed or gimped version (like no English, only spic language).

you can mod/edit to fix language

yeah it can be done, but tedious af.

you can do this on the xbox one store, i dont think they care

Why go though that headache, when you can just pirate it?

some people just really like steam i guess?

If most people pirated then steams prices would drop to russian levels. You're basically paying a good goy tax at the moment.

This.
Ubisoft raised the prices and more companies are doing the same because you're a poorfag

as a consolefag, i will never understand why pcfags dont just pirate everything
