That's part of what makes it so great retard. Trips to each city legitimately feel like road trips. There's nothing like the lonely feeling you get listening to the country station out in the middle of nowhere.

>I-it's bad on purpose!

my only problem with it is it was too small, there were like 5 places to go.

James woods was kino

>bro, open-world games must very cluttered map and force some bullshit copy-pasted fetch quest on the player's face every square mile he walks otherwise its empty

I fucking hate how you faggots act like developers can't just let the player breath and roam around the map without some waypoint shenanigan popping in the mini-map every second to tell him theres another activity on the game's checklist for him to complete. Empty space on the map is something that goes back to Daggerfall, it has always existed and was never an issue until some mouth breather invented this complain to shit on the new wave of open-world games and now every other mouth breather in this board is doing the same. Maybe you should just play an Ubisoft open-world game, their maps have enough waypoints to keep your ADHD ass in check.

>I-its bad!

Yes.

>nigger simulator game

And yet, this small square was supposed to represent a "state", even though it takes maybe 30 seconds to go from Los Santos to Las Venturas.

The whole map is far too small.

It takes a lot more than 30 seconds if you drive

Kino means film, in case you didn’t know. It’s not a synonym for “good” or “cool”, despite what everyone seems to think.

Words change meaning all the time user.

Las Venturas feels like most of the city was slapped together in the last month of production.

Skyrim is supposed to represent an entire country yet the length of it can be jogged in an in game day or two. It's just a problem inherent to the open world genre. It's hard to fill a large game world with interesting things to keep players engaged.

someone has the same map with a bigger render distance to see how much smaller it feels?

No it doesn't. I counted in the past. Numerous times.

I don't think you understand what that word means now that the definition you prefer has been changed.

Shut the fuck up you happy bundle of sticks.

I miss this game so fucking much, I wish I could play it again for the first time.

tfw never made it out of San Fierro

LOVE ISN'T ALWAYS ON TIME
WOAH-WOAH-WOAH

I like the map since the cities themselves are spaced out, making you feel like you're taking an actual trip to a whole new area each time you go. GTAV kinda suffered from only having one city, while there are many small towns north of Los Santos in that game, it's better to have a balance between the two rather than the bottom third being a huge city and the rest being the wild/a few small towns

The yay leavin San Fierro, right?

Comfy

>tfw trucking on SAMP Crazy Bob's server
>copied my entire music collection into the games custom radio station
>player's getting in car chases on the interstate with cop players
>getting escorted because random druggies would try ramming my haul off the road
I don't wanna type everything else, but there was some funny shit when you just casually drove around doing deliveries

Yes it does, literally a straight line

could they release San Andreas these days? the whole feels like a racist stereotype towards blacks and hispanics

It's crazy how few roads there actually are outside the cities
