Do you think the 4th game will be good? It's supposed to drop this year.
Fucking loved the first three games. Didn't really care for SS3. It didn't feel like a Serious Sam game, more like a standard FPS that was trying to be a Doom clone.

Because that's what it initially was. Croteam made a bid for the license to do a Doom game but it didn't work out, so the assets they put together for their presentation were recycled into BFE.
I never knew that! It explains a lot.
Serious Sam (TFE/TSE) is a fluke. Croteam has no idea why people like those games.
Taking on a huge army by myself was really fun. I also enjoy looking for the secrets, they're often silly and just there to fuck with the player which is really funny.
Supposedly they're focused on having a lot of enemies on screens at once which is promising.
weren't they working on some military shooter
and that's why it has generic cairo city assets
man SS3 SUCKS
SS2 is pure soul.
It really does suck. I was so disappointed when I tried it.
That is very promising.
This is like what a second time they were on the verge of making a doom game?
its so fucking stupid
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
only in the last third of the game.
the game is way too long and way too boring.
god i fucking hope so
its been nine goddamn years
I'm concerned that the giant levels will be kind of a slog, but I'm still excited.
I would fucking love to see a Doom game by Cryoteam, tho.
do i have to buy one the HD versions or ss3 directly on steam to get fusion?
TFE HD is on sale for 2 bucks on another site
for me, is going full chainsaw in stage of skellies only
>man SS3 SUCKS
the first half definitely sucks, the second half after the second helicopter crash goes back to the classic wide open deserts and the game shoots up in quality with some of the best encounters in the franchise
That looks fucking great.
I never got past the first half.
it doesn't get better, he's lying
the final battle is the worst of all sam games, and the boss fight is a fucking joke
I want beautiful and diverse levels, like in TSE and SS2.
I want there to be fun and creative secrets again, which actually make me want to explore.
I don't want to see shitty cutscenes with awkward looking character models.
Don't introduce gimmicky enemies that destroy the flow of the game.
Get rid of reloading as much as you can.
As long as they do that, it will be a fine Serious Sam game.
Agreed 100%.
I tried this and got filtered by, I think, the second level. Serious difficulty is intense
>Don't introduce gimmicky enemies that destroy the flow of the game.
Fuck space monkeys
And don't add tombs. Fuck the tombs.
I remember fuckall about SS3, but I do recall getting through the game just fine up until the final boss when after an hour of trying I had to look up a walkthrough and my immediate first reaction upon finding out was "How the fuck was I supposed to know how to do that?"
Didn't it have something to do with the jetpack?
>gimmicky enemies
That's one thing I loved about the old games, the enemies never got boring. Even though you saw a bull, or a kleer and you knew exactly what it was going to do the gameplay never felt stale.
Jetpack and those fucking poles or pipes or whatever they were.
>circle strafe the game with giant arenas
Why need a 4th when I bet the original game will STILL be better
doesnt it tell you how to do it though?
Only if you manage to pick them up, which you might not. It's entirely possible the miss the whole pile of em.
don't they glow bright ass red though? like im not trying to shit on you cause i've failed at obvious bullshit before but i don't remember any uncertainty with that fight in particular
>circle strafe the game
you haven't actually played them
The harder part was getting the asshole to turn around so you can hit his back.
