I've heard Lost Paradise is alright but a bad place to get into Yakuza because it has very little content compared to the actual Yakuza games.

I've played yakuza before so yeah I'll give lost paradise a shot though I don't want to buy it for ps4 just to have it come to pc like a lot of the other yakuza games are doing at the moment

Ken's Rage 1 and 2 for PS360, 1 has much better gameplay and more robust movesets as well as amazing What-If "Dream Mode" (Jagi's and Amiba's scenario in it is genuine kino), 2 has much better story mode and more playable characters.
ArcSys fighting game for PS2, also Japanese only but who cares.
Finally Lost Paradise for PS4 which is basically Yakuza meets Hokuto, lacks in content compared to most proper Yakuza games though, content-wise it's about on the same level as Yakuza 1/Kiwami 1. Absolutely best fighting system in Yakuza series history and has something the other Yakuza games don't - Jump Button.

Now read the manga volumes that the anime didn't adapt (after Kaioh) because Toei is notorious for cancelling it's popular shows at the apex of their popularity as being shrewd kikes they know that if something is already at apex of popularity then it doesn't need advertisement for their toys in form of anime.
They did it with Hokuto, they did it with Saint Seiya, they did it with Dragon Ball, they do it with everything.
I'll spoonfeed you, here's the manga volumes, MOST of them have really poor translation but the first few and last few volumes are good which also happens to be the part you need.
You want volumes 24, 25, 26 and 27.
Kaioh stuff ends about 1/3 into volume 24 so just skip in the pages until you get to end of Kaioh and read manga from there till the end.
Then you can read the 25th Anniversary Bonus Chapter Buronson and Hara made that bridges HnK1 and HnK2 (showing what happened between Last Nanto General and Celestial Emperor arcs):

Then watch Shin Hokuto no Ken - OVA adaptation of a book set after the events of the manga:

And finally there's Raoh Gaiden, which basically runs in parallel to episodes 1-49 from HnK1, but from Raoh's perspective showing him building his army.

This torrent also includes the 1986 movie which is just a non-canon advertisement for the series from back in the day, it's very pretty though and has nice gore.

You can but only in Japanese version, it's a licensing issue. It also has Tough Boy in it in JP version.

Bigger moveset, air combos (cause jump button), juggling (doesn't exist in yakuza), timing-based moves (again doesn't exist in yakuza), generally it's just more complex than Yakuza in terms of combat mechanics. Even the "heat actions" are replaced by the various special Hokuto moves and they require more involvement than just pressing Triangle.

Appreciate it buddy luckily I've already got everything downloaded, except for the 25th anniversary chapter I'll have to take a look at that.
Though by just finished the anime I actually just finished the 109 episode first part, havn't started the second season yet because I'm deciding if I want to continue watching or swap to the manga now. What do you recommend?

Cause the "HoM" subgroup release has absolutely fucking abysmal translation (1/4 of the lines are missing, rest is badly translated) and video quality in it is absolute fucking ass.
But seeing as you only finished HnK1, read the 25th Anniversary Chapter now, then continue with anime with HnK2. After you finish anime, read volumes 24-27 as I told you before.
Then watch Shin HnK, then Raoh Gaiden, then the movies.

Ken's Rage 1 is alright and the devs really tried to make a decent game instead of a musou.
The game didn't sell that well because people expected a musou. Musoufags were mad that it wasn't a 1:1 musou.
So they made Ken's Rage 2 which is basically HnK: Musou, basically trash.
Last Paradise released recently and it's pretty nice. Basically Yakuza: HnK Edition

Both GT and Super were cancelled prematurely.
Super 17 was supposed to be a movie but Toei didn't want to bother giving it budget so it became a throwaway low quality anime 5 episode mini-arc.
It's also why Shadow Dragon arc is completely rushed.
And Super I don't even need to explain seeing as manga is ongoing but anime is dead.

Nah that's fine, it's exactly the same release as the one I linked, but ripped from the BD - they basically bundled all the DVD episodes on a BD release so there's less discs, it's not in HD or anything, they just took the 480p DVD remaster and put the episodes 1:1 as is on BD. It's inferior to the release I linked in that it's just a raw BD rip so it has shitty yellow PGS subs instead of nicely typeset white subs, but it's the same official translation by Discotek in both so you're good on both video quality and translation quality fronts. You just have worse looking subs than the ones I linked.

Now that I think about it, HnK after Raoh was kinda weird.
It was already weird to have Ken go from martial art guy with convictions/beliefs/ideals to Chosen One/Jesus tier the longer it went on, even changing past events. Though that's nothing new.
Not sure what's the deal with Shin nowadays, they retconned that shit a few times

The point is that Musou shit-eaters are so adapted to eating literal shit that when they are given something of higher quality than shit they throw a riot and crucify the devs, forcing them to make a second serving of shit instead.
Because that's what happened with Hokuto Musou.
First one is a competent beat'em up, second one is bottom of the barrel trash Musou whose only saving grace is that it has more indepth story mode.
