the thing with Bleach's filler in it can be easily skipped because it's just 4 arcs. It's not like DBZ or One Piece that drags out canon scenes. Infact it was the lack of filler during canon episodes that kept creating filler arcs because the anime kept catching up to the manga too fast

Manga pacing came to a crawl until the author was forced to end it early due to popularity in the Table of Contents (rating system based on fan polls to position top most popular to bottom least most popular and determine which manga got cancelled every few weeks) dropping like a dead weight.
Last arc had alot of interesting twists but alot of the fights lasted too long for weekly format because the author is known to waste panel space on too many reaction faces and got too lazy to draw backgrounds for fight scenes after Soul Society Arc.
