how do you even get this high level? Do you need to own a thousand games?

You can get XP from those steam events where you buy games and get coins or some shit letting you buy XP.

I have 150. Would use money refunded on badges I didnt have for games I liked.

I just crafted badges for games that I liked, plus the holiday events. Never spent money outside of what I got selling stuff on the market.

Game count doesn't really add to your xp as much as making badges or participating in steam events.
If you really wanted to level up your profile easily, the grand prix event was your best chance

Hey guys I found this Russian dude that will level your Steam Profile up for you. But he asks 20 euro's. I feel it's a bit expensive, but would it be worth it for 10 euro? he says he can easily double it for you so i'm probably just gonna buy it for 20 but i wanna know if I can save some money

They were practically giving away experience during the last spring or summer sale. Or maybe it was last year, but you could trade the coins for levels.

Every event there is badges that are easy to upgrade. With no effort you can get around 30 levels.

I mean, yeah. But the higher badge count along with level at least gets you some booster packs more often, along with some additional stuff you can add to your profile.

can you level op with workshop subscribers? I got over 200k

Tell the people who use your workshop stuff to give you their trading cards or you'll stop updating your content.

I use SAM to "play" my entire library in idle and get all the card drops. I then sell duplicates and foils to buy the rest of the cards that I need to complete sets for badges. I also buy a few cards every now and again. It's pointless really but kinda fun to collect badges

Sell for pennies. Eventually you'll be able buy cosmetic items for your games. Stick it to publishers.

Hes lying to you. Once a year we get an email with an invite to the valve orgy and a coupon for every game that release over the next year. Last year they mailed me a functional pair of gravity gloves as well.
