the main advantage of the switch is the versatility of the platform. It's the best platform to play all of the games that aren't too demanding graphics-wise.

I’m sure you guys know what Nintendo makes and the kind of games you’re going to get on one of their systems yet you still bought it despite not liking Nintendo games. Sounds like this thread is full of fucking retards plain and simple.

We need to address two key problems: game cost, and developer reticence.
1) Even in the instance of multiplats, games are costing more on Switch than counterpart consoles; while in some ways this is a plus (physical games retain value) it's undeniable that paying $60 for The Witcher 3 on Switch is worse than paying $15 for the same game on other platforms.
2) Developers seemed scared to touch the system. This could be a few factors: the architecture isn't similar enough to the PS4/Xbone to make porting fast. It's a significant effort, and the SDKs are only really just catching up now. It could however, also be an issue with the PS Vita. Devs like Gearbox put a game on the Vita and it did incredibly poorly; it's indicative to share holders that people don't want these games on the go. We need developers to show a willingness towards the platform.

The Switch did well. If we're lucky, Nintendo will partner with AMD next time and produce something more in-line with the other consoles for fast ports/prototyping without Nvidias hacky nonsense, and developers will support it from the get-go.
