Dark Souls will sometimes just kill you in ways you had no real chance of predicting, but that's okay, because death is cheap. Easy come, easy go. Do better next time.
It is in that way that Dark Souls is fair. People that are afraid of dying in Dark Souls are retarded. Dying is half the point - It's an established element of the games that the Demon Slayer/Chosen Undead/Curse Bearer/Good Hunter/Unkindled Ash is not really special, they're just immortal and determined.
