When did you quit for good?

started in legion quit in legion

Started in BC, quit for good just before 4.2 Firelands launched.

Cata was the last time I subscribed for more than a month in a row. Now I just play the expansions on release and quit once I hit the first time gate.

Wrath of the Lich King but I didn't feel like playing that at all. BC is where everything started feeling tiresome.

Started in classic, quit during a guild raid in WotLK. Fuck activision.

Sadly, I lasted all the way through the first raid of BfA. Shame, too, because I actually really like Vulpera.

Same as me basically. I just quit in Firelands. Been having the itch to resub and play Classic as I want to get into an RPG and make some online friends again, but after reading up about it wow classic seems to have an awful community now.

The internet as a whole has an awful community now

Yeah you might be right. It think it’s all catered around shared identities now rather than forming a community around the game itself.

Quit vanilla shortly after Naxx released. Came back for Wrath and did leveling 60-80 leveling content then quit again.
Came back for Classic, quit last week. Might go back for TBC Classic but probably not. There are plenty of nice players, but the minmax and parsing mentality ruins it.

BFA

Started with Vanilla, quit when BC came out. Fuck flying mounts.

burning legion when I realized I was just logging in and doing daily quests for crappy rewards

Cata, it made me sad when they broke my comfy world

activision raped blizzard, killed it, then raped its corpse

I guess BfA? I mean I tried Vanilla, got to like 40 and stopped, then came back in TBC and actually capped and started raiding. Kept that up until Firelands in Cata and got bored and took a break. Came back in MoP just in time for Throne of Thunder. Quit raiding altogether in Legion during Trial of Valor because the grind and that raid in particular sucked. Poked my head back in casually a few times but never more than a month at a time and haven't gotten hooked again.

Started somewhere in mid Burning Crusade. Quit when the game difficulty was nerfed in Cataclysm, about 1-2 months in. I had to stop and think "what am i doing with my life" and just quit in. Never wanted to play it again.
It's one of my better decisions in life.

the false advertising on this box
i was expecting to be able to go into a submarine and see giant women under the sea

When Cata came out. I remember leveling a Troll and a Gnome to try out their new starting areas and leveling my main in some water/flooded area for like 1 or 2 days, then I never played again. By the end of Wrath I was just done with the game. Everything was just menus and teleporting, and the game was full of casual shit and dailies... The magic of the world and the adventure was gone from the game and Cata didn't add enough to keep me interested anymore.

After the free trial when it first dropped. Game sucks.

>I want to make online friends again
Man, I wish I ran into more people like you before I uninstalled the game.

I'm playing classic right now. Quit retail for good in Legion though I had a high opinion of the game then because Unholy DK was fun. BFA looked awful so I stayed away.

>Started in late BC
>Quit early Cata
>Jumped back in late MoP
>Quit when WoD came out
>Played when legion released and then quit in legion.

So yeah I've bought basically every expansion and am a total blizzard shit eater. I'm part of the problem.

i quit retail for good a couple of months into wod
i play classic on and off

4 months before Wrath. WoW is severely overrated.

First quitting around 3.2 or 3.3 Second around late cata endgame.
Have played vanilla and BC on private servers afterwards.

Quit after Wrath, came back for WoD and hated it after a few weeks. Never went back after.

>the minmax and parsing mentality ruins it.
then play in a casual guild

>Everytime someone mentions wow people start flinging shouting wow is dead/activision destroyed blizzard/this isn't it anymore
>This has been going on for 10 years now
>But they also all play it
I kind of admire your dedication to something you love, but i think this is an addiction in reality.

Are people really demanding you min/max for fucking Molten Core after some Greekshitters tore it apart with almost no gear?
Nothing in Classic is hard by today's standards. People just didn't know what the fuck they were doing back then because information sharing was so much worse.

>loved vanilla til wrath because warcraft 3
>besides its buillshit in TBC and vanilla horrible RPG mechanics, i had fun and met some nice people
>Cata happens and i lose interest due to how garbage it was, went back to SP games and mainly TES, which is superior
>quits until Legion, hated the new changes but at least i raided and killed heroic argus and got my birb
>BFA happens, i've deleted and burned any bridges in both BFA and classic due to how shit it was.

Fuck blizzard and activision, and i trully hope that zenimax buys it since they are richer than they actually shows due to private investors.

I haven't still enjoying it

July 2019.
