FFXII was the closest they ever got to with Basch, then they went full 180 and settled for the twink power bottom Vaan.

It was VII, but after decades of shitty secondary products and now finally this remake I'm convinced that VII was always MEANT to be shit, and it was pure fluke that the original was something I perceived as good. I can't really see VII in the same way any more so I guess I'll have to go with VI.

It's very difficult for me to pin down a true favorite. There's usually a couple that really love and replay continuously and others I just liked.

I'll freely admit that about half of this is nostalgia. With that said even to this day I love Cloud's and Ramza's characters and I love then continuously more with every passing year. I also like the customization aspects of both games, especially with Tactics. The games are easy but considering the things I like I don't mind it

All of these games are super simple but I appreciate them for that. It's like putting on a good movie you've seen a million times but it's relaxing. They aren't my favorites, the holes in them are harder to defend but I still personally appreciate them

These are okay. They're video games. I liked the idea behind 2's level up system but I still won't go back to it. And I just couldn't get 4 to click with me

Besides the overlong animations it feels unfair to hate 8 but Rinoa really makes me hate that game. With 13 I feel like it exists to show off the PS3 specs but forgot to be a game. I do like the idea behind the battle system but it has too many flaws for me to EVER consider going back to it
