CEMU Emulation appreciation thread

Emulation Appreciation thread. I am so glad I can enjoy botw at 60fps 1080p with the visual style that was advertised in those really old trailer. The console version are so stuttery and washed out in comparison

Stop mobile posting faggot

Cemu is free? But not open source?

Idk, I got it for free. I own botw for Wii U as well.

...

Lick that boot

It's free. It has a patreon but they update their builds for public release regularly.

Emulation fags always talk about FPS but how about controls? Can you use gyro on a DS4 or something? Maybe even KBM?

I just pirate the latest patreon build

>Can you use gyro on a DS4 or something?
Yes.

Yes to gyro now.
Used to need cemuhook plugin, but the latest update for cemu has nullfied the need for that now.
Hell, you can even hook up your phone to act as a gyro controller if you need to.

My friend of high melanin content.

I’m playing botw on a wireless Xbox one controller. Have you ever noticed the face buttons on Xbox controller are the same as Nintendo but the A is switched with B and Y is switched with X?

What boot? The boot of emulation authority? Your post does not make sense.

I hope SMTV gets emulation (after it's released)
playing Nocturne with save states makes it 1000% more fun

NOOOO YOU CAN'T JUST EMULATE THE ONLY GAME PEOPLE BOUGHT THE SWITCH FOR

Xenoblade X plays better with KB+M than with controller.

are there any other wiiu games worth emulating than botw

>muh botw
>the rest of the wiiu games still with extreme graphical glitches

>Can you use gyro on a DS4 or something?
Yeah. I played BOTW in 2017 on CEMU and I needed to use a specific build of DS4Windows that had gyro emulation in it but that build was discontinued prior to when I downloaded it. I have no idea if DS4Windows has gyro controls right now though as I don't play any games that require it.

I wouldn't even say BOTW is worth emulating. Game isn't even all that good.

BoTW got the CEMU devs a fuckton of donations for awhile. No idea what it's like but they were getting like $45k? a month once BoTW started to boot. They took an opportunity to make money and went with it. Can't really blame them.

Yes you can. That’s the whole point of this thread.

when i played it i had no ds4 so i used an app on my phone to make it work like ds4's gyro. it was kind off a pain in the ass but fortunately gyro control isnt as needed so i ended up only using it like 3 times

just wait until we are able to emulate the new animal crossing, switch will be truly dead

>the rest of the wiiu games still with extreme graphical glitches
only the shitty ones not worth mentioning

You already can on a Ryujinx build, but I wouldn't call it stable, exactly.

>annoying visual bugs, inherent emulation input lag, no motion controls and soulless experience
Emulation is for poor nerds.

*the Wii U

heres your (you)

classic emufag cope

None of that exists.
You haven't used it lol.
Admit that BOTW on an emulator is superior. Or look like a whining dog for the rest of the thread.

>NOO THERES 0.00000000000003ms of input delay enjoy your souless 4k 120fps experience!!!
cope

>saw all the hype for CEMU
>hurr durr everything is playable now!!
>decided to try it
>downloaded BotW
>tweaked everything with a guide
>runs fine
>constant insane stutters due to asset loading
>wtf
>google
>"well, that's just how wiiu emulation works lol"

>Sold more than the Wii now
What's with this twofaced coping?

>just pay $300 for a console that gives an inferior experience, goy

ur rig is ass
works 100% perfectly on my machine

Download a shader cache you absolute fucking retard.

you gotta build up a cache

>switch kids don't know what a shader cache is
Jesus no wonder they had to buy the console wtf...

The game was designed for 30 FPS and low res, you are destroyign the artist's carefully crafted vision.

Get a better computer poorfag

I can’t speak for other games, but BOTW works flawlessly, was easy to do and it looks 10000x better than the console version. Like I said, it looks like the way Nintendo advertised it in those pre release trailers.

I'm running 1.18.0 right now.

Is BOTW supposed to compile shaders every 10 seconds? It's making my game freeze for a second every time.

Yuzu and Ryujinx would be further ahead if only the pathetic bootlicking devs would stop trying to appease retarded bootlicking nincels who hate piracy. Someone post that image of nincels raging at emulators on twitter.

Obvious bait

Once it compiles the shader it never has to again.

You can already emulate ACNH though with Ryujinx. There's not a whole lot wrong with it either.
>mostly consistent 28-30 fps, dips down to 24 at times
>sound will play fine but then some of it suddenly stops working for no reason but it's not actually that big of a deal unless for some reason you NEED all the sounds
>can't take a proper passport photo as it has the same thing BoTW had where the pics you took would be corrupt
It runs fairly smooth and I don't even have that great of a pc.

There's always been a shader cache that you could've downloaded since 2017 when using OpenGL since Vulkan wasn't implemented until recently. OpenGL ran incredibly smooth, even after I did everything and decided to use the botweditor to speed across the map while gliding. You must've done something wrong.

How's Xenoblade X running on it? I'm too lazy to plug my Wii U in.

So just walk around for a while?

Idiot, it has to load shader cache the first time you do anything. The 2nd or 3rd time you do an animation it will be smooth.Go download someone’s shader cache who has completed the whole game and it will fix it.

So which version is superior? Botw for switch or emulated on cemu? I can run botw on cemu at 50 fps

>woah dude, a 5000$ computer can now play games from 5 years ago that you could play on their original machine for 100$

ideally you should download somebody else's completed cache

Cemu by far due to graphical options, mods and customizability.

Yes if you don't download a shader cache do you faggots do any research before downloading/installing shit?

How can I do this?

Where do you get the games from?

Runs great, its piss easy to hit 60 fps with it

>a $5000 computer that can do more things
>a $300 console that can't even play its own games at a goos framerate

how hard is it to get joycons going on PC? odyssey emulation is actually pretty far along on yuzu.

I have an AMD FX8350 CPU, why can't I even play gamecube games? I just want to play Metroid Prime...

By shoving your fist up your own ass fucking spoonfed retard.

ok, thx

Awesome, thanks user.

I know this is bait but I'll take it. You don't need to spend $5000 or even $1500 to emulate games fine. Not only that but even just $1500, probably closer to $1000 will allow you to run just about every game at 60 fps as well as emulate a ton of games.

firstly follow this guy's video for general setup. he used to post the cache back when i played through botw in 2018. i think the shader cache has to be specific for the version but im not 100%, see what he says in the vid:
