I'm going to start calling this the "Tifa Effect."

She hates Umbrella, with good reason, since they've ruined her town and are trying to kill her. Carlos works for Umbrella. That's why she's a cunt to him at the beginning. She gradually warms up to him as the game progresses and by the end she genuinely cares for him. It's actually handled a million times better than the original is.

The old quote conveys that she's perplexed by his delusional, naive, self-centered attitude in this situation, and tells him to fuck off without saying it while not conveying that she is disgusted and feels spiteful towards someone who is obviously just a dumb kid hitting on her. One thing I will give the remake is that Carlos looks older than he did so his attitude would seem less endearing there, but the like still lacks creativity. It is way too plain and on-point.
