Coming from someone who loves DOOM Eternal, it really doesnt feel like DOOM at all.
2016 felt somewhat close to the originals but something about Eternal feels so substantially different than the rest.
It doesn't play like Classic Doom but, unlike Doom 2016, they went fully behind the idea of making an action/stylish shooter and it's fucking fantastic. Doom 2016 sucked in both regards.

It's a mechanic that you can use to your advantage or be retarded and put yourself in a bad situation by using them poorly, use the faster Glory Kill rune you idiot, then the game is much faster and you can make better use of the Glory Kills and reduce the risk of them letting demons catch up.
With the chainsaw, create distance from the more dangerous monsters alive and chainsaw fodder, it's not hard.

Leave your punch from 16. Why was it nerfed? It wasn't overpowered it was really just for finishing off Zombies quickly. Now with the ammo shortages it just makes me want to walk around zombies instead of wasting a round.

Secrets should be rewarding you directly for exploring with more resources and not fucking demon dildo sex toy music cheats

Doom Eternal is a fucking excellent game. Engaging, tightly paced (aside from the very lame swimming sections), always makes you feel like you're learning and improving, banging soundtrack. It even performs excellently on PC for mid-range setups. I can see if a game isn't for you, but anyone who's a fan of Doom should be ecstatic that such an excellent game got released in their series. God knows I wish Mass Effect would come back with an entry as good as Doom Eternal

There are 4 levels after the one where you get the crucible. You wanna tell me you completed the final 4 levels in an hour? I agree with some of your points aboutt he crucible, but I think the timing when they give it to you is about right. That's the point in the game when Arch Viles and Tyrants start appearing and the crucible is basically a tool to dispatch of them if you're in a pinch

Not him but DE is very easy. Found it difficult on UV then I realized the gimmick is that you are supposed to rapidly swap weapons. Game became a cakewalk afterwards and I quickly beat it on nightmare.

Whiplash is fine IMO, the only annoying part is the ground attack that not only tracks you but you aren't even safe from it if you jump. That's some retarded shit right there, it's a fucking GROUND attack and it catches you mid-air. The carcass has a similar ground attacks that's just as annoying but they use it a lot less often.

Blood Punch should have been tied to something other than glory kills and lategame suit upgrades, maybe just deal enough damage or kill enough enemies and you'll get one automatically
They set up the entire dynamic of the game to hammer in that glory kills = health and flamethrower = armor, so if you're great at managing your lifebars you never actually need to glory kill and can continue playing at your own pace
