The main reason Sony makes games PS exclusives is because they get a 30% cut of every game sold on the Playstation platform, including multiplats that they had no thing to do with the development of. So they want to lure Joe Blow into becoming a playstation gamer with their discounted exclusives so that he buys COD12 on his Playstation and they get a cut of that. I'm not particularly a sony fan, but I sold my ps4 because the only reason I owned one was to play exclusives. It's going to be interesting to see how the future will turn out for them, porting games to PC didn't help MS sell more xboxes, I doubt it will help sony sell more playstations.

PS5 has its own decompression for streaming from the SSD. It's still about twice as fast as the XSX SSD when taking both compression systems into account, although I doubt speeds like that will really be useful.
