If it was advertised and sold as such then I dont think you would be seeing as much back lash. This is not the case. It was sold as a remake and leaks of the changes were not shown until the very last minute. They did an excellent job of tricking people out of their money.

I did play the original and was a little turned off from seeing Sephiroth like 20 hours early but I can let it slip since the rest is so good thus far.
