its literally the only good fps games right now aside from valorant and tarkov
everything else is casual garbage
No, its repetitive.
No, not really.
It's a battle royale but the gimmick makes it worse than other battle royales
It used to be. They destroyed it to appeal to console players.
> aside from valorant
get gud
>valorant
kys
get gud
>valorant
Fuck, are there gonna be valorant shills infecting Yas Forums now?
> get gud
nigga just close your eyes u baby
Just keep calling them out and they'll go away just like overwatch and epic shills
what is "calling out" possible going to do lol? is this what you guys tell yourselves loool
they started pandering to console players so the gun play took a dip, not sure if it's crossplay but it should have been two completely separate releases to preserve quality
it literally was "perfect" pre 1.0, and it also looked alot better
>valorant
Lmao
.6er shitters get the fuck out
how the fuck did he see that? this is why I'm not cut out for tarkov
do americans really do this
play it very slowly around the 3 second mark and you can see the guy's white sleeves in the background
Oh damn now I'm seeing it. That's crazy. Wish my eyes weren't as fucked up
I thought this got cancelled. I still remember that cringey ass E3 demo they did for it.
100% worth a play with a friend
I hate games with realistic graphics because of this. At some point enemies just start blending in with the background and it gets really hard to spot them.
Wasn't a problem in older games since there wasn't as much detail in the maps. As for Tarkov, people that do well use softwares like nvidia freestyle or reshade to make darkness irrelevant (and so should you). The lighting is terrible and favors camping in a dark corner and from afar aliasing distorts player models regardless of your settings. It's just a game problem.
also, use pic related, its retarded op
Atmosphere > convenience personally but to each his own
The only thing keeping me from enjoying the game is how the crosshairs aren't centered so you have to be slightly looking up towards the sky. It's really off-putting.
>cant see the things I'm supposed to be shooting at
>this is somehow good because game pretty
I bet you're the type of faggot that don't mind muzzle flashes taking half of your screen when you shoot
Muzzle flashes don't necessarily improve atmosphere but shitty graphics 100% hurt it, so I refuse to play at lower settings for that reason even in multiplayer games.
With a friend, absolutely.
Yeah it's alright.
Once you get used to the environment and maps it becomes a lot easier to notice when something is out of place.
>turn graphics and miscellania down to minimum
>max contrast with all visual disability options
>game area is a hideous wasteland of bare polygons
>can see targets from across the map
easy prey
>console release comes
>aim sway gone, shooting easier, headshots everywhere
>alt control scheme removes two-step aiming so people with 1 brain cell can play or something idk
>still 2 maps, still 3 "bosses" in a game where that's the entire point
>weapon balance/meta just means you get shot 2 times and die if it's not a 1 shot headshot
>cheapest gun in the game is a single barrel break action shotgun that will randomly decide to kill someone from 50 feet away
What happens is I run around for 20 minutes to either kill someone else instantly, or die instantly myself. Gone are the days of a gunfight that lasts longer then fucking 3 seconds.
The thing I hate most is the alert they added when two groups are close to a boss. Completely killed the ability to sneak in on people mid-fight if they have half a brain.
Did they add an alert? What the fuck, the game was all about sound. You could hear people from 2 miles away if you just fucking listened. Console players really destroy everything is the biggest joke of console player pandering ever.
I'm fucking done with this game. I wanted to give it a try again after i swallowed my pride regarding microtransaction. But now that i know they killed the only good FPS right now i play some Butterlord. At least i know it will get much better and not turn into a pile of dogshit. Fuck this gay world.
Its pretty good. I started playing back in October of last year so I'm pretty new to it, but its the most interesting FPS on the market right now. Good FPS games with pre-WWII settings are hard to come by and this scratches a lot of itches with some of the guns in the game. That said, its frustrating as fuck just getting shot in the head without getting a chance to retaliate, and I think they plan on changing the large-ammo meta soon.
Yeah it works the same way as the alert around clues do, but covers a bigger area. You have to be in Darksight to check it but there's so much downtime in boss fights that you have to be a fucking retard not to check it all the time. And as soon as someone notices they're being snuck on of course they abandon the boss and go into defense mode, so there's not point in trying to sneak anymore.
>cheapest gun in the game is a single barrel break action shotgun that will randomly decide to kill someone from 50 feet away
As much as i love shotguns in this game i cant get but get so fucking frustrated about them. Its literally rng at this point. I shoot someone on point blank range and nothing happens to them yet someone manages to snipe me and instakill me with the same fucking shotgun from the other side of the map.
Last time I got my friend to get back on this game I got downed and was spectating him when he a fucking perfect dead center shotgun blast on a guy 5 feet away and not a single pellet hit. He was so pissed we haven't played it since.
you want the best strat right now? go melee. use a saber or a bomb lance or a melee weapon from the map and just run up to them evading like an autist for some reason its super fucking hard to kill someone rushing you like that you either get super lucky or straight up accept your fate.
Yeah the funny thing is my friend is a god damn killer with the knife, he usually pulls it out even before the enemies are in melee range and charges them down. We actually had a bunch of good games before that and were on a nice win streak, but he decided to use a shotgun that round and you know how it is when bullshit of that caliber happens. Despite doing pretty good up to that, it just takes all the wind out of your sails.
>maleodorant
It's Crytek's glorious comeback. Now all they need to do is remaster Crysis and make Crysis 4, and they'll own the FPS again.
When did you last play the game? They've been constantly overhauling balancing and sound design with each new patch. They added ear ringing recently so that firing constantly deafens you.
t. last game played: 6 months ago
Last time I played it was a month ago, but there haven't been any updates for it yet. Isn't the ear ringing thing only on the test server right now? I still follow the updates and shit, I just don't play it much anymore.
Someone has to know what Crytek's new unannounced AAA game is.
1.3 is on the test server, yea. It's a pretty big overhaul. I'm curious about the singleplayer PvE mode they're gonna be adding in the future. Will Hunt be fun without other players?
>Will Hunt be fun without other players?
Ever been the last group left alive and gone around the map killing monsters for XP or kill the second bounty? Did you have fun doing it?
Interesting premise. Interesting firearms that are not usually seen in games. Wasted on online only pvp bullshit to chase an over saturated market. It's like developers just want to throw money away.
>play with random
>he dies and abandons me
>manage to sneak inside the compound while the banishing was almost done
>bounty close at an exit
>rush in the moment it completes grab it and leg it
>actually extracted with it
felt good desu
The battle royal genre has the same problem has the mmo genre. There's a roving band of try hard faggots that move from game to game, learn the meta, abuse the fuck out of it, change the game culture to nothing but guide reading faggots, then play until the normies can't stomach it anymore and quit.
>has the crosshair and thus the point of aim not centered on the screen
>can't find a setting for it, look it up as a sanity check because I'm probably just blind
>find out there is no setting for it and that the devs have "no intention of adding an option to center the crosshair"
WHY THE FUCK NOT?
>Get to the final node
>It's at a church
>Climb the bell tower
>Constantly ring the bell to attract people
>Snipe those who come
Was a lot of fun
I don't feel the monsters are balanced for solo play. In order to make the game engaging for singleplayer, they'd need to find a way to introduce unexpected surprises. They'd need to increase monster aggression. Stuff like that. Also, they should consider littering the game world with storytelling collectables when playing in the singleplayer mode.
>I'm curious about the singleplayer PvE mode they're gonna be adding in the future
don't get any ideas, probably it will be similar to the practice mode but with bots (hunters) and the full map
Because by lowering the crosshair they force players to partially expose their head if they want to aim out windows.
>people that do well use softwares like nvidia freestyle or reshade to make darkness irrelevant (and so should you).
This is why PC gaming is shit.
Developers just need to be smart at this point. Should you be able to see someone at a certain distance? No? Then make it so they don't render or have an almost predator stealth like effect when on the absolute furthest distance of still visible.
>This is why PC gaming is shit.
It's 100% the dev's fault for not banning those who use it. They allow it so people abuse it.
Even the fucking streamer they PAY uses it. it's complete bullshit.
