Emulation is fine. I don’t like emulating games currently available for sale by the publisher and developer and available for a current gen console. But once it exits that phase, I feel emulation is great resource and tool.

what exactly do you do in this game after 20 minutes? there's nothing to be done. you talk to everyone on your island once or twice to maximize handouts, you dig all your fossils up and get them assessed and donated, collect some materials for crafting if you need them, and like fish and shit for as long as you care to. i feel like that wouldn't take longer than 30 minutes even including shit like putting down plots for new bridges and steps and shit. then you just wait for the next day.

you're right, since I don't own a switch, I wasn't prepared for 30fps, hurts like hell after playing at 144fps

i've played the OG and i'm playing new horizons and there's definitely more to do daily in the new game, and there's also a lot more room for customization and stuff like that but it's like you said. it's really just about sitting around and doing fucking nothing the same way you might in real life.

For me I also do all the Nook miles plus goals, check the daily NPC, check all the shops and buy the things I like, maybe decorate a bit, and collect all the fruit on my island and sell it. Usually takes at least an hour per day, and sometimes several hours if I get really into terraforming.
