>Install a minecraft mod
>it adds shitty systems that nobody likes and are annoying to manage.
Are there any mods that don't do this? Mods that don't fucking ruin the game by making progression so linear and boring that you want to quit instantly?
Install a minecraft mod
optifine :^3
Pam's?
>install the shitty mod that ruins food
id rather scrape my balls across my mom's throat.
No
Aether?
Roots
Quark
whats a good modpack
Literally all of them, you just can't cope with anything that requires triple digit IQ
Betweenlands? I like the concept of the dimension being so disgustingly humid that torches and fire doesn't work but the toxic shit is aids.
this, OP BTFO
All mods require millions of variations of the same plant and flora. It’ll all clutter up your inventory and there is no way to avoid picking up 10 new, useless items every minute.
This and YUNG better caves
Item physics has you crouch to pick something up instead of automatic vacuu m and JEI has a garbage can to delete anything you don't want. Quit being retarded.
Biomes 'o plenty?
What shitty system does Biomes O' Plenty add? More biomes and building material? It's the best biome mod for Minecraft.
Quite a fan of resonate rise
OP is asking for mods that dont add retard systems
Did you hear about the OP trying to have a minecraft thread?
He was destroyed!
I like Roguelikes Dungeons. Has a quest book that gives you goals to complete the modpack fully. I recommend installimg Mo'Creatures with it because it's not in the modpack.
Hexxit. None of those machinememes or automatebullshit. Just pure, unadulterated exploration injected strait into your veins. Roguelike Adventures and Dungeons is a good spiritual successor too.
I like Roguelikes but one big flaw to the modpack is no fucking mod options lost in the menu, so I can't didable the gay ass Scaling Health that inflates all the mobs health bars.
Good suggestion
>nigh-immortal werewolf spawns and rapes you
Mo' Creatures is definitely a good mod
>Ogre spawns and levels your entire base
with no issues whatsoever.
>Silver skeleton SANICs up to you from behind and slits your throat on the first night
>nigh immortal warewolves
With Thaumcraft added magic spells bypass werewolf silver only armor completely
>Ogre spawns
They're easy as shit, just install Spartan weapons with Spartan Fire if your such a faggot for weapons with attack reach
>Silver skeletons
Wear armor lol.
Twilight forest?
Chocolate Quest/Better Dungeons. All systems it adds are so obscure and undocumented that most people who've played packs with it don't even know they exist. It's also the greatest exploration focused mod of all time.
Yes, but they're just for making multiplayer playable.
Like Citadel or Faction.
The problem with Ogres isn't one of difficulty, but of destruction. It's like if Withers spawned naturally.
>install ANY mod
>has its own versions of copper, aluminum, silver, lead ores
>mods
SOULLESS
Just get the Lord of the Rings mod, it has more and better content than most kitchensink modpacks out there.
Make a fucking wall and put down some torches then. I'd post my setup because I'm currently playing R.A.D but I'm stuck wagecucking right now so I'm being a dirty mobileposter.
...like, almost all of the mods?
Some good ones are Betweenlands, Erebus, Twilight Forest, pretty much any dimension mod adds nothing but just new content.
almost every dimension mod is shit
>Wall
>Doing anything against ogres with terrain destruction on
cute.
no
>no mods
Cuh-ringe.
develop taste user
Minecraft stopped being fun after 1.4 beta. Prove me wrong.
i am a dwarf and im digging a hole!
>install the multiplayer focus mod
Genius.
Betweenlands, Twilight Forest, Nether Ex and Aether isn't shit user.
Well technically true, but "nether, but made of X valuable block" my first shit mods don't count.
They are all shit
How so?
Ogres have a very small aggro range stupid. So unless you deliberately attack one or you have Blood Moon that spawns mobs everywhere and hightens aggro range it's your own damn fault.
If they aren't aggroed they're even worse, idiot. They just wander around destroying terrain at random.
When the fuck did you play Mo' Creatures last and what version? Because they don't do that shit anymore.
That's subjective
Something that gives me more ores
Something that gives me more weapons
Something that adds more fights, that hopefully dosent fucking destroy the balance of the game
Twilight Forest.
To be fair, Aether really has not aged well. It's a relic of it's time as the first big dimension mod with actual new content, but mods like TF, Betweenlands, and Erebus have long outgrown it in scope and quality.
i really wanted to like FTB revelation but damn there's so much shit like 100 types of bees that i just cannot enjoy it
Well there is Aether 2 but it has to be played as it's own mod. Almost NOTHING outside of the Aether works so if you have a fancy dragonbone weapon from Spartan Weapons it only does 1 damage. And any other effects from other mods will cause it to crash like Thaumcraft.
Per Fabrica Ad Astra and Gregtech New Horizons
both are beginner friendly packs with comprehensive, well made questbooks
It's not. Minecraft was never intended to be some dumb RPG for brainlets. It was meant to be a comfy game about exploring, gathering and building. Notch literally said there would never be 'alchemy or magic' and alas here we are now and the game is in a worse state because of it.
Tinker's Construct.
doesnt change the game itself, just lets you customize tools to do what you want.
Aether 2 is kind of a joke though. It's a notorious server killer, it's a hotbed of glitches, it has only one dungeon type, and it has even less content overall than Aether Classic.
>Buy game around about the 1.7.3 release
>Stop playing for years
>Want to play again but can't remember account and don't think I even have the email anymore, nor any proof of purchase
Doesn't help that the game is pretty expensive for how long I'd want to play it for. Do pirate copies have any issues with mods and the like? It doesn't seem like you can get the Java version for cheap anywhere
I don't like that mod.
>Install Tinker's Construct
>All other tools and weapons from other mods are immediately obsolete
>it adds shitty systems that nobody likes and are annoying to manage
Then why the fuck did you install the mod?
Mods that make slight edits to the original game like dynamic torch lighting (you throw a torch from your hand and the dropped item emits light), the way trees get generated or the way hills get generated, some more ores and tools and monsters, maybe a dungeon and cave overhaul and a lot more graphics mods and smaller life improvement mods. Anything that overhauls the overworld and changes the flow of the game into something completely different is just retarded
>he doesnt like industrialcraft
optifine and a shader is pretty comfy
I just finished wandering around the mountains and stumbled on some Llamas, which I took care of and are now following me ^^
Yeah It was so vastly different than the last time I played having some bizzare rpg dialogue shit and changing the portal from glowstone to Quartz. I guess the developers got hopped up on their pretentious lore shit and ruined the charm of Aether.
you can still build and there are more building blocks and options, the objective of building hasn't changed
>autism Yogscast shit
Yikes I only play gameplay having mods not sit around like a fucking retard attatching meaningless bullshit to a machine to make it go brrrrrrrr.
Are you playing a mod or a modpack? Only you know what you want. Whatever you like or want in Minecraft should determine what mods you install.
