What Valve is working on is most likely similar to the project that Oculus has recently acquired, which is basically a wristband that will know how you want to move your hand without you actually moving your hand.

It is supposed to make controllers a thing of the past. But it's not going to connect to your brain directly, more like, to your hand muscles.

After a bad accident I've lost a lot of mobility in one of my hands. Making specific shapes with my hand in VR sounds like a bad time so having a computer that can "read my mind" or attach to my wrist sounds pretty cool to me. Problem is I don't want your stupid motion controls, I just want an alternative to existing schemes
