Plenty of old games like Blood, Jedi Knight II, and Super Mario World are still fun to play. FF7 was the first game for a lot of people, so it gets overhyped. It also pushed the idea that games should be like movies that push the player along with very little challenge, something divorced from most other popular games in the 80s and 90s.

Wow, disk 1 of FF7 is -really- good, probably one of the best games I've ever played. The entire Midgar section is just awesome. Game slides downhill a bit as it goes on but man. Disk 1 is so good. What's that? they're remaking FF7? holy shit YES! I can't wait to play through the Disk 1 parts again with current gen graphics. Aww I can't fucking wait it looks SO good. The gameplay demo was SO fun too. They really modernized the combat and everything looks really good. I can't wait to play it. Even if I only play this part 1 of ff7 remake, it will be worth it. Really didn't enjoy disk 3, crisis core, or the adventure children stuff, only ff7 disk 1 was what I want. At least I can fully enjoy it in the remake since the first game only covers midgar.....wait what the fuck are these ghost things? what is sepheroth doing in the game so early. Most of the things added to the Remake really aren't that good. I get it if you still like the overall package and new combat, but you'd have to be pretty braindead to think that dungeons or side quests are good.

Only the one-two punch of Great Glacier and Gaia's Cliff is a rough spot. Everything else flows well.
