The detractors to the Bear and Bird are merely jealous of how beloved those characters are. Even to this day the shitposters desperately try to spin a narrative, which falls flat on its face when confronted with the facts that Banjo-kazooie are in Smash. Sure it's no new or remastered game, but it's so damn good to see such characters get the red carpet treatment that is a smash inclusion. It was such a nice touch to see Nintendo itself celebrating Banjo-kazooie with all those other vidya characters cheering for them. Really felt like an underdog moment.
