VALORANT is literally a product of a developer team playing it as safe as possible. It is literally a combination of CS and OW. There is nothing new about any of it. In fact, Riot have been so shameless that they straight up copied a bunch of the abilities right from OW heroes.
The game does absolutely nothing new, except for providing a 3rd bomb site which opens up a little more strategy, but that's it. The overall game still reeks of a soulless F2P cashgrab that's aimed at the asian market. They are even going to add more and more heroes to try to make people buy them with real money like in LoL.
