>Bad netcode
>No offline events because of Corona-chan
Sorry Cygames but not this time.

Damn, is there a game that does the 2D anime aesthetics in 3D better than this?

GG Strive coming out soon

>delay netcode
>shitty walkspeeds
>samey combos

NO

I can't. I'm in EU and the lag is horrible so I'v never even tried outside of smash

>1685▶
> (OP)

>samey combos

???????
the same can be said about every fighting game

I would like to but I have unhealthy mental habits that lead to excess salt and obsessing while not improving. Tried to get over them but like an antlion the saltmonster inside me tosses salt on me and then drags me into the salty depths.

just finished up a 4hr Smash session

does this happen with every online/pvp game or just fighting games

no

Is it possible they update the game to have rollback in the future? That's basically what they're doing with Strive, since the beta is going to be delay based.

yeah, its possible but unlikely.

so whats zooeys gameplan gonna be. did they release any details?

Waiting for the 13th because I'm a PC cuckold. Did I mention I hate XSneed and Arcsys?

Honestly dude if this corona shit doesn't convince devs how important it is to have playable online, then I don't know what will. I'm glad Arc Sys have caught on, but that still leaves Namco and SNK to get their shit together.

>2020
>japanese delay netcode
>having to pay full game price for patches
>characters are fucking 8 dollary doos
Kill yourself

no fucking way in hell will it ever get rollback

I don't own the game, do you really have to pay 60 dollars for patches?

It is possible. If you are interested then watch the gdc talk videos about how nrs put rollback into mkxl.

this is the worst looking team red game, xrd and dbfz look way better

Strive beta is in exactly one week, right?

These are excuses people use who gave up learning fighting games because the initial learning curve was too much or they are cowards afraid of playing a 1v1 game with no-one but themselves to blame when they lose.

Are you going to play with me?

Probably should. Have a stick that’s just sitting somewhere collecting dust

Delay netcode is a valid complaint though. Take it from someone that not only netplays a lot but went to a lot of tournaments before Coronachan destroyed the world, playing online with bad delay netcode is not even the same game, you just use it to get matchup experience at best.

Fighting games are as bad as it can get.
I have never that much enjoyed pvp games (I want to but my salty nature makes it diffucult since I am aware how shit it is having to stand salt golem in your team) but the difference is that when salt starts flowing I can just stop playing. For some reason with fighting games I am unable to stop and just keep going and going until overload and temper loss. I guess the issues partially are that fighting games are tad bit solitary experience compared to team shit I would otherwise play.

i didn't even buy you

considering 99% of matches in fighting games are played online, this doesn't matter for most people because only a small minority have any interest in playing irl tournaments.
People play online because it's the only way they can, delay isn't ideal but it's good enough, better than SFV rollback at least.

if you ever think about wanting to give fighting games another chance (or any other pvp game), the best advice I can give is to join a discord for that specific game and link up with people that are playing to get better, not to win

preferably around your skill level, some of the best feels for me is when you play with close friends where one is barely winning consistently until you change up your strategy and start winning yourself for a while, forcing the rest to adapt. It becomes this fun game of chess with a huge reward feeling

One of the problems for fighting games that I see time and time again is legacy skill, if you look at guilty gear or blazblue for example, they're very niche games that have a tight nit loyal community that have been playing for years, if you decide to get into similar games like that, don't expect to win for the first weeks/months.

GBVS is the perfect entry since it's a new IP (for arcsys) and is very beginner friendly with a high skill ceiling to work towards

its not up to arc though is it? doesn't who published granblue have to pay for it.

>high skill ceiling
Granblue has the lowest skill ceiling out of every "real" fighting game ever released.

I'm a brainlet, if rollback is considered better than delay based netcode, how come every new game doesn't just implement that instead?

Japs are incredibly slow to change. The new Guilty Gear by Arc coming out has rollback.

delay works better in Japan because of the infrastructure of their internet, you think they care about the quality of netplay for us filthy gaijins?

compared to tekken, guilty gear, blazblue, smash bros? Sure. Does it have enough dept for there to be a massive difference between top and low tier players? Yes.

When you say low skill ceiling the only fighting games that pop in my mind are arena fighters, mortal kombat, soul calibur, etc. Nothing that has come from Arcsys

No, we're so far beyond that style of updating the game now for fighters. Patches just come down the usual download pipeline.

people are stuck in their ways and if you don't understand rollback completely its sounds awful but in reality all the arguements against have been solved (10 years ago)

>no crossplay
>$80
im waiting for a big steam sale

I want to with GBVS

Japanese stubbornness and lack of need given that they have god-tier internet.

Thing about fighting games is that you're gonna lose a lot. You're not a MC of a anime that constantly wins.
In fact, losing is legitimately one of the best ways to learn and part of the biggest block I see to newcomers is that they think because they constantly lose = they're permanently trash at the game. Everyone loses a lot, especially at the start. The key is to chill out, save a replay of the loss and actually watch it.
Ask yourself why did you do the moves you did in the game? Were you panicking? Did you think that move was safe? Etc. Winning is just the fruit of your labors after practicing.
It is normal to get annoyed or frustrated when losing though, if that happens, honestly just take a break for a few hours or the rest of the day. Playing while tilted or thinking about that bad loss clouds your judgement and makes you make bad plays. You will perform much better when you approach the game with a good attitude and in a good mood. My rule of thumb is if I lose 3 games in a row, I take a break for at least a few hours and do something else. The biggest ranking losses comes from trying to keep playing while you're on a losing streak.

Pretty much, starts Apr 15th. If you are in the beta, the codes will be emailed out starting Apr 12th.

>99% of matches being online means it doesn't matter if the online is shit
I'm not even going to bother taking anything else you said seriously, it's obvious you have no idea how to actually play fighting games. I guarantee you're one of those shitters who thinks because he got to Super Platinum on SFV that means he's good at the game.

I tought it was a brown charlotta WHAT FUCKING DISAPOIMENT

No thanks, bro.

Anyone in the NA wanting to play for a bit?

lot's of double dippers that are on ps4 for now. Game usually had 400 more players daily till the new patch dropped. PC patch on the 13th

Puppet character or at the very least, a Stand character because she uses a Wyvern Gauge to command one of her wyverns to attack

What the fuck are you even talking about?
Of course everyone wants the online to be as good as it can be.
Stop projecting, your online rank doesn't mean anything.

The playerbase split for now due to the patch coming earlier on console. PC numbers will cross to 1100 again this weekend when the PC patch goes live

I'm down if you're PC. I'm pretty fresh to the game though. I havent been online since the patch, just been going through RPG mode

Literally spent 30 dollars on game+season pass, thanks to regional price

can't wait for you puppetfags to get btfo

Ah fuck my bad bro, I'm still PS4 version only. I get some more extra monies I'll likely join pc side as well though.

You only need 2 people to play a game, europoor

Already confirmed that she will have a wyvern gauge, definitely a stand character or one that at the very least will have enhanced/changed specials

God I wanna fuck Zooey

HONK HONK
(i am squeezing her boobs haha)

please tell me there exist an uncensored version of this pic

what future? anime fighters die within a couple months
they're literally the cod and fifa of fighting games

Is she out in PC yet?

I want to play UNICLR but I can never find a match.

I might double dip and pick it up on ps4 because all my friends who are decent at fighters are console only. If you're on /afgg/ I'm sure we'll see each other around.

i couldn't find anything, but this. Looks like an earlier version of the piece. Found a collection of the artists work too.
