It bothers me too, honestly. There's too much flippant swearing in modern games in place of actual dialog. Probably the only instance of hard swearing in recent games I thought was done well was the FUCK YOU at the end of DMC5.

It worked well with Ethan and the Evil Dead vibe Re7 had but I like it less in the Remakes I prefered the corny tone the OG games had.

7 is my favorite RE. I only ever played madhouse though. It was such an intense experience, I can't fucking imagine playing it on Normal.

This works on RE7 because It got a good mix of swearing to goofy shit.
REmake3 Carlos is loved because He is this mix of goofy and swears while people didnt like Jill because she is only swears.

I've been a fan of RE since the '90s and RE7 is one of my favorite games in the series. It's also the best Evil Dead game ever made.

Nah, they should reset their powerlevels to a degree, but not the characters' personas, looks and quirks. Also nobody is asking them to go Neo on a bunch of zombies. The series works best when the Tyrant-esque bosses are kept to the late game. I think this is partly to blame on those horrid W.S. Anderson movies, with 6 as the rotten culmination.
Also fuck VII for trying to retcon Chris into a generic literal who.
