Lots of beauty sleep

The fist one sold poorly meanwhile the second one sold well and it's the one everyone talks about, plus, it has good songs.

Still, female protagonist = trash.

years of hormonal buildup

Bigger budget and less reused Half Life 2 assets.

A very minor case of serious brain damage.

Well it checks out.

Imagine waking up and being the horniest human being in existence.

You know I wish Portal 2 focused more on the horror aspects of portal and the black humor instead of going full zany.

nothing about her original model is from hl2

Portal 2 is one of the few 10/10 games in existence

It accomplishes everything it wanted to do perfectly

prove me wrong

I bought it on sale in 2012 and never even installed it. Should I play it this weekend? My toaster (same one from back then) can handle HL2 pretty good.

somehow she washed her hair, mosturized and used some lip gloss right before waking up from her extended nap.

She managed to eat and take a shower while sleeping. Pretty impressive.

You'll probably be able to run it on medium graphics then. If you never saw a playthrough of it, it's worth it.

Of course you should. You don't need a new PC for it, but you should probably get one anyway. Load times are so much better on SSDs.

>she bought?

Okay I'll give it a shot. I just hope the announcer guy isn't too annoying. I'm finishing up chocobo's dungeon 2 tomorrow and I'll need something to wet my palate before I start grinding the final dungeons for items.

communism

>Aperture is implied to be constantly hard up for cash
>Somehow manages to have a massive complex inside an Ohio salt mine
>Black Mesa gets all the juicy government grants
>Half of their facility is in a state of disrepair.

to be fair you only explore 10% of what is supposed to be Black Mesa while you pretty much roam all of Old Aperture in Portal 2

Knowing aperture it was part of the extended sleep pod package.

She finally found the cake

Member when Miss Pauling was really fucking ugly and then they made her hot for the Expiration Date SFM?

aperture invented race transitioning

Nah Aperture especially old Aperture is fucking massive, you only visit one of several 'testing shafts' in Old Aperture, also since the newer facilities built in the cavern above it are largely automated and continually expanding there's no telling if the whole underground area newer Aperture facilities take up haven't started becoming some sort of BLAME!-tier sprawl.

Black Mesa is made out of the remnants of a cold war missile complex so a lot of the infrastructure is like 40-50 years old, also it's a government facility, the government is broke half the time and likes to cut corners everywhere, sure the research facilities are new and modern but the older stuff has been left to rot and even the stuff that is still used and not decommissioned is at the mercy of budgeting as far as maintenance and renovation goes.

Enforced bimbofication by Glados.

lol

She looks better in 2. Anyways, you know what's been bothering me recently?
At the ending of 2 you look up at Earth and it's completely clean and unaffected despite being in the same world in Half Life. Is Portal 2 set hundreds of years after the Combine invasion? Or just a really bad oversight by Valve?

Attached: Screenshot_2020-04-10.png (1146x644, 445.88K)

Portal 2 is set possibly millions of years in the future, definately long enough for any sign of Combine invasion or humanity existence to have long been erased.

>you’ve been asleep for 9-9-9-9-9-9-9-9 etc

Also, the flag there shows the american flag, like when it was first set, when actually it's pretty much just plain white nowadays, from radiation.

you exit out to a fully grown wheat field because there was no combine to harvest it.

Bad oversight by Valve, they credit NASA with the image of earth so I doubt they edited it

Even during the invasion, how would Earth be different from space? They're not manipulating the weather and coastline haven't changed enough to notice from such distance.

They literally drained the oceans by a fucking lot.

I like to imagine that the combine completely changed the solar system after they set up shop there since it's literally the staging point for their invasion of the local universe

Portal as a whole doesn't fit all that well into the HL universe in my opinion

They got better at doing assets
Though Portal 1's Chell face is a lot lower quality than normal

The water level is around 10-15 meters lower, judging from the coast maps. I'll be super generous and show you how the earth would look of water level was 50m lower. As you can see, you wouldn't be able to see the difference from the moon with the time of day and cloud coverage you see in Portal.

Skill has nothing to do with it. You can make a pretty or ugly female with any reasonable amount of polygons, low or huge. They made her like that because they wanted her to be like that. An average person, not a supermodel sleeping beauty.

She has those leg things Eli Vance uses.

>Completely clean
how can you tell?

It's literally NASA CGI propaganda

The shit we did to our planet in the past 200 years. The smog, the climate change, deforestation, urbanization, mining, fracking. Yet it still "looks" clean and unaffected. What did combine do? Stop most of the industry and destroy most of the cities? Lower water level by 10 meters? How the fuck would that be visible from such distance?

you need to stop reading hentai

>need sleep
>too much sleep

You ever think that maybe Chell was put into stasis by the G-Man and when he woke her up he just dumped her in a newly emptied room? (To explain the indent on the bed)

I beat it in one sitting because the puzzles were too easy. I only took as long as I did because I enjoyed the dialogue and would let characters run on as long as possible. The only thing keeping it from being 10/10 for me, it’s too easy

Chell's not shooting people, so Gman's not interested.

The game is also a bit short (4-5 hours) and it revolves around gels a little too much but other than that I think it does puzzles fine

Great game but a lot of the humor falls flat compared to the first game. They tried way too hard. I would definitely not call it a 10/10. Also more difficult optional puzzles would have been nice.

iirc she was basically put as the one to defeat GLaDOS by the scientist Doug Rattmann

Workshop content and great custom maps make up for this partially

Nah, it was Doug Rattmann, there's a whole comic about it.

Can you stop avatarfagging faggot?

Attached: faggot.jpg (1163x159, 31.02K)

This feels like comparing California to Texas and I'm not sure which is which

Do you think Rattmann has any realization to the Mann family?

relation

I love Portal 2 but I can't agree. It isn't as tight an experience as the first one—in fact I daresay it's too long. GLaDOS shouldn't have come back as a character either.

These are small gripes but they do keep the game from being perfect as you imply.

>(To explain the indent on the bed)
Explain.

pretty sure the sleep pod she was in maintained her appearance. in fact, i think the game lampshades this fact a few times.

no it's probably just a play on his schizophrenia and ADD personality

Isn't the indent on the bed just her being asleep there for an uncountable amount of time?

If G-Man was keeping her in stasis in a void she couldn't have made the indent, so it might have come from a different test subject whos corpse was freshly cleaned out of the room

To be fair you only get to explore most of Black Mesa after the Resonance Cascade tore up the infrastructure to hell.
