For music, it's more difficult because it's much harder to upgrade something that was already amazing, many award "committees" might just skip it and think about OSTs created in 2020.

But slap new graphics on something from at least two generations before the remake, then the awards opens up for GOTY if it's good enough.

Makes sense. Two of my friends who owned the game dropped it, one before chapter 4 and one during chapter 7. The person who complained uses numbers to say it’s a bad game if two out of three people he knows who bought the game dropped it. Through the replay I was able to show the story off to the one who dropped at 4 and he was genuinely interested in it the whole way, and said he might try to play through it on easy to experience it himself later.
