Chrono Cross was an indication that Squeenix was never going to be able to reach the heights that Trigger did.

Best possible thing I could hope for with the Chrono IP is that the community modders and fandom come together to make an actual fucking sequel to Trigger instead of a retcon title like Cross was.

I’ve always been opposed to the idea of TWEWY2. The first is a perfect 10/10 and doesn’t need a sequel. Even if great, it’d tarnish the original, because TWEWY only works as a stand-alone.

He was only one of the graphic field designers. However, given Square’s penchant for slapping his name on everything, I wouldn’t be surprised if they somehow thought he had the right directing chops.

Chrono Cross has so little to do with Trigger that it can be pretty much ignored.

If Square for some decides to make a new entry in the Chrono series, I don't want it set in the same world as Trigger or Cross. New world, new characters, new story, new everything.

Basically Sephiroth in FF7R isn't actually the real Sephiroth and is actually a time-jumping ghost or something that is attempting to undo his "fate" he can also see the future and basically "all of creation" which means he's effectively an omnipotent god now. By the end of the game it becomes clear that he's altered a few character's backstory to the point where things are unrepairable now and it's revealed that FF7R isn't actually the original timeline to begin with and the last scene is implying the two timelines are starting to merge and the next game is going to be a completely different game that isn't even remotely like a remake which effectively makes the entiriety of FF7R completely null and there's no fucking point in this game existing outside of introducing this really fucking retarded time-line fuckery.
