Hey guys, figured I'd make one last thread before I start securing people into spots. The last thread I made was Sunday, and this will be the last thread until I have the final product to post.
>What is this People always complain that the English dubs in games are always shit and one user said, "Why don't WE do a dub?" and I took him up on that challenge and chose this game since it's pretty light hearted and fun. Right now, we're just doing the first few minutes of the game because I didn't want to bite off more than I could chew. And boy am I glad I took that precaution. >What we need We need a girl or two in our ranks. There is a female co-heroine, and a female side character who gets 2 lines. We need them both filled. However, if you are male and end up interested in the other characters, I will not turn you down. Anybody with a good voice will be heavily considered, and with who I have already, I'm likely going to create multiple final clips anyway. I'd hate to tell them "Sorry, but this guy was 1% better than you so you're out of a part lol" and I think it'll be fun for everybody to hear the different takes everyone else had. >What is getting voice acted? This youtube.com/watch?v=kHFhra40RRE
>How do I join? You'll have to join the discord server, DqVqW3Z. There is NO cancer and submit a vocaroo (vocaroo.com/) with you saying some stuff, ideally in a tone that you think fits the character you're hoping to play. >How will this all come together? Once we get all the parts filled, I'm going to have everybody record their lines individually. Once all that is finished, I'm going to edit the files so that the volume all matches, and re-record the gameplay segment so that the video recording will match the audio. That way, everyone has the freedom to really express their character without being confined to how fast I pressed A.
This project is purely for fun, and is only being worked on with people from Yas Forums, for people on Yas Forums. It has not been posted anywhere else and have no plans on outsources any parts to other websites either. There will be no mod for people to download either, it's just going to be a youtube clip. If I was looking for fame or some shit, I wouldn't be coming here.

Can you at least forget to sage so the thread actually bumps?

It's nice to see someone trying to get Yas Forums together to do something that isn't shitposting or whining even if it's super gay? Either way I'm excited to see what a sad mess this turns out to be if anything. Good luck and here's a bump.
Not to put down your effort, but something I've noticed is that games that are clearly written with the intent of being text only sound very different from games written with the intent of being voiced.
It ends up sounding more like an audiobook or something when it's just reading off dialogue boxes, rather than sounding like a scene between actual actors.

>Go to skillshare Defeats the entire purpose. This is meant as a Yas Forums activity. It could be the shittiest end result in the world and I'd still be satisfied. But to give you a taste of what we have: vocaroo.com/8H0HJTue5Jk This is with 0 direction other than what's in the threads, so I know that with some retakes and direction, it's going to turn out good. Everyone so far is on par with this guy which is not surprising to me at all. It's going to turn out good, and I know it.

Best of luck to you user, I'm interested in seeing where this goes

It's not meant to be an improvement to the game. Just an exercise for the board to do something besides play the same 3 games for 16 hours every day.
