Fight optional bosses which are much tougher than most mandatory bosses

>fight optional bosses which are much tougher than most mandatory bosses
>they push your shit in
>if you beat them it makes the rest of the game easier
>if you don't and fight them later they become pushovers
How can this kind of shit be fixed?

Scaling.

>if you beat them it makes the rest of the game easier
I've never played the game, could you explain this?

Make optional boss fight entrances less noticeable with less Insight, so the earlier you are in the game a first-time player won't get wasted repeatedly on a boss they don't know is too high level for them?

Sekiro got it right. Also leaving it up to the player to not level up like a fucking retard if they want a challenge works well enough in BB

when you kill them they give you a lot of blood echoes you can use to level up, just like in any RPG
you could just farm them but that's the faggot's way and not the way the game was intended to play

No boss in bloodborne is really hard, especially if you googled them and know how to deal with them (weak points, strategies etc) also the game let you summon npcs if you want to be sure to beat them in one or two tries
I don’t remember which ones are optionals but darkbeast paarl or amygdala for example are fairly easy if you know what you’re doing
witch of hemwick or celestial emissary are distractions bosses, martyr logarius is fairly easy and you should be high level since it’s around the end’ same for ebrietas
gerhman and moon presence are simple so
Maybe cleric and blood starved beast
Cleric is like your first encounter and is doable and blood starved beast you can use summon or just try a few times

Nothing in comparison with darksouls 3 and bosses like nameless king

One good thing with bloodborne is literally that they don’t insist with autistic bosses requiring you to do 20+ tries even though you googled and watched how to, bloodborne rely more on big environments and the player own feeling of fud and being lost witch is better
You realize how everything is manipulation of you do a second run or no+ knowing your way

Needing internet strats for any From game. Consider suicide my man

I’d say the only flaws in bloodborne are the usual from dumb shit like convoluted noces quests you need to perform on the correct moon phase
It sucks because you either google and checklist everything, backtrack just to exhaust some npc dialog etc and always fud you did something wrong or forgot something which become kind of a chore

Also it’s never clear how many gems and runes exists and if you have every gestures, it’s often anti completionist, like throwing you in new game plus without warning

You should be able to get everything in one play through and blood stone at the messenger at the end, being able to +10 only a few is retarded
Some sets not having gloves or hat is also ocd triggering and retarded

Or messy stuff like valtr hat you can only get if you get vermins you get online, it’s just an example, just a hat but basically if you don’t have psn fuck you

Having to restart an entire game because you accidentally took Eileen for a mob and hit her is like hitting that knight in firelink in ds3 and making him hostile, literally ruin the fun for some player and is just plain bad design

Other than those flaws the game is probably the best ps4 game

>Is casual and 100% autist unfriendly
>Flaw
Go play games with a checklist of doing EVERYTHING is so important

Well it’s basically impossible to not miss a lot of content if go completely blind in a from game
You could and I mostly stay spoiler free during my fist playthrough but since you need infos like sédatives remove frenzy, three umbilical cords gives you moon presence etc you can as well check a few things about bosses you struggle with
Like amygdala legs are armored, it’s better to remove the fire spitting shadow of yarhnam first etc
I personally try a few times and read up if I struggle too much or even summon a npc idgaf
I play for visiting the land not to stay stuck an entire week against a boss because I didn’t figure the gimmick properly

Semi casual bosses are a pro of bloodborne
Ds3 is borderline autistic in comparison and nameless king almost made me break my ps4
The dlc bosses are just dumb hard so I didn’t even finished ds3 dlcs, not interested in half assed levels and semi cheated bosses

>Well it’s basically impossible to not miss a lot of content if go completely blind in a from game
That's what NG+ is for. Try a new build.

This guy gets it

>Semi casual bosses are a pro of bloodborne
>Ds3 is borderline autistic in comparison and nameless king almost made me break my ps4
Bloodborne bosses only seem easier than Dark Souls bosses because the Bloodborne gameplay follows all the standards of most other games. It rewards you for being aggressive and recklessly striking first. Dark Souls, on the other hand, has a steep learning curve because it's a very defense-oriented game. New players have to unlearn all the tendencies that Bloodborne rewards, which also happen to be the standard tendencies for most games.

Once you know how to play Dark Souls, the bosses become just as trivial as Bloodborne bosses.

What I’m saying basically is from should let you enjoy a safer ride (no fear of breaking your game because you fucked up, like dying before boarding the hearse for cainhurst and ending up without an invitation for example, or hitting eileen helping her and making her hostile ruining the quest, stuff like that)
Everything should be guaranteed and linear imo
Those games are linear in nature because they are basically ghost train with added grinding and rpg + fud of losing your souls mechanic

Fuck the optional shit, dlc shit and it need ng+ shit
Branching path and choice, yes
Optional areas and glitched npc quests no
You could be able to fill your hub with npcs or kill them or let them be whatever and keep them there or go back for them at any point
From need to stop trolling with stuff like the beggar killing everybody or iosefska twin rekting your allies just to push people to play a new game, it sucks

>Everything should be linear
>Those games are linear

>optional areas, no
Fuck outta here.

It’s not a matter of skills or git gud and it’s not a matter of gameplay
Ds3 bosses tends to be camera hells with gigantic bosses moving hysterically and having massive overpowered aoe
It’s just not fun and become poor design at some point, it’s the opposite of skills because a noob or veteran suffer alike from the bs and need to learn a perfectly timed sequence

Bloodborne is more fair, compare fighting the shadow of yarhnam or even rom to nameless king
Bloodborne let you go in with several strategies and make the fight your won
Ds3 forces you to do exactly what you’re expected to do, every nameless fight on YouTube is the exact same
Every shadow fight is different
Even if in the end a pro/autist can probably go in and get zero damage at low level and win

I'm not arguing that DS is just as good as Bloodborne, I'm just saying that it's just as easy. Literally get good.

I went through DS3 with a pure magic build.
I can assure you my NG fight against the nameless king was nothing like those on youtube because I just 3 shotted him because NG magic is OP as fuck

By doing blood level 4 runs.

Levels mean jack shit in Bloodborne

What I’m saying is from should do what the Castelvania ds do
Let you go everywhere just unlocking shit without caring about doing things in the correct order being concerned about breaking something or fucking your playthrought and missing some items
And letting you enjoy the world after you beat it and level up as you please with everything unlocked and every door opened being the big boss of the land instead of
>pushing you in ng+ Some dlcs or chalices dungeons to play their unfinished unpolished shit that didn’t fitted in the main game

Also they should let you get everything (weapons, gems, outfits etc) and give you a way to checklist them without going online or relying on a wiki

If they did just that, unbreakable game, no dlcs or ‘optional’ aka unfinished shit and autistic loops
Only one ending etc
They’re games would be 10/10 masterpieces

I'm not sure what the problem here is

The game is intended for you to farm, Blood Vials prove this.

Lol fuck no

>Nothing in comparison with darksouls 3 and bosses like nameless king
Lol what? NK can be litearlly rendered a complete pushover by just using a 100% shield. It goes from one of the hardest fights in the game to the easiest.

Orphan of Kos was far FAR harder than anything the Dark Souls games had

>if you beat them it makes the rest of the game easier
Beating a boss in Bloodborne rarely ever nets you even a single level, and if they do it's because you already had some blood echoes.

Attached: 1575944385608.jpg (1024x958, 75.93K)

My point was artificially hard and cheated boss fight aren’t what’s good or important about those games
A boss with autistic explosions, one shot moves and full screen aoe is not good design
>git gud casu lmao
Also those games suffer from the autistic pvp shit and online features (spoiler notes everywhere) (useless 1000 ds3 builds for manchilds doing ‘builds’)

I’m saying if from spent a bit more time polishing their games instead of milking the cow refurbish unused content and unbalanced bosses in dlcs and shit or including useless content, the games would be better and purer

Never ds3 was harder, I said it was less polished and more unbalanced than bloodborne even though they improved a few things like healing or kicking on ladders, warping from a bonefire directly etc they also took a step in the bad direction in term of pacing and didn’t corrected their failed bs like turning a npc hostile or needing ng+ to get some item, multiple meme endings to hide their no efforts in story (muh lore)
At least they ask you before starting ng+, unlike bloodborne

For me it goes
Sekiro > Bloodborne > DS1 > DS2 > DS3
DS3 was just way too easy.

It’s true though. You have to farm for Blood Vials unless you rarely get hit by anything.

>A boss with autistic explosions, one shot moves and full screen aoe is not good design
Any boss in any From game with these attacks telegraphs them for five years before they use them. If you get hit by them, it is literally your fault.

imagine being an overleveled faggot

>leveling past 50 in any souls game
you seriously don't do this shit right Yas Forums

There's a game mechanic that heals you user. how do you need so many blood vials?
also you can buy them from the fountain.

Are you t-talking about DS2 as well?

That’s what I mean. You have to grind echoes to get vials. The rally mechanic isn’t something you can always use

Attached: 1585470463416.jpg (2570x1490, 312.32K)

Pretty sure the only difficult boss in the game was Gehrman, because at 15 vit he just 1 shots you with every single attack in Scythe form.

But aggression is also optimal in Dark Souls, just run in and hit until you notice an attack is coming and dodge. Taking damage in Dark Souls is literally irrelevant, because your Estus regenerates if you die.

But Shadows of Yharnam and Rom are both piss easy. Just run in and hit them.
Yharnam, you kill them one by one, you can interrupt their attacks even.
Also, how is Rom hard, you just hit him until he teleports, literally just ignore the spiders.

I said souls games not trash like ds2

>level up
>have spare echos
>buy vials
wow.

By playing DS3. Dancer will still part your ass cheeks like the red sea on your first run even if you don't fight her early.

I killed her second try, because I got hit by her instant kill grab attack the first time.
She's really not that difficult. But very pretty and I spent the rest of the game cosplaying as her.

The blood vials farming wasn’t a bad idea in itself
Forcing the player to take a walk after too many tries at a boss to farm a bit or try something else
But many people got mad at that mechanic rightfully so, it just get in your way
The whole inventory mechanic is kind of a fail, they improved it in ds3 but it still suck
It’s impure and like with many things in souls borne it would be better if removed for something simpler
Bloodborne is better than ds3 because it’s more coherent in world and atmosphere
about 10 weapons is enough
1000 weapons with share movesets and only slightly different stats is autistic, fuck pvp autism and builds
Magic is a bit lacking in bloodborne and overdone in ds3 with miracles, spells and pyro all having different stat to level up
Bloodborne stats are done right, it would be perfect with just some more spells dealt with elsewhere instead of hunger tools in your inventory

A game mixing the best of ds3 and bloodborne and running at 60 FPS on ps5 would be nice

some people dont know that you can see yahnam under water.

Did they really expect me to ever go back to the tomb of odeon?

I never beat Queen of the Cosmos or whatever her name was.

Attached: 1583973378652.jpg (640x664, 28K)

Shhhh user. Nobody's supposed to know that the lothric knight and black knight shields are actually god tier.

Make them optional but balance the game assuming that the player did beat them. You can skip them for an extra challenge or fight them to maintain normal difficulty

I am not claiming I am a “le
Hardcore”
Gamer but I never understood how people
Found this game
So difficult. I mean, it wasn’t easy but it wasn’t so hard. Like I saw people here and on reddit
Memeing the big spider boss or the wolf at the beginning. But I never had trouble with them.

There's nothing to fix, retard.

>amygdala
Not gonna lie this dude really fucked my shit up for some reason in my first playthrough, took me like 30 tries.

In later playthroughs I killed him in 2-3 tries but that initial encounter when you were still learning the game he was brutal.

Nothing will ever compare to playing Bloodborne blind and get the bad ending where MP one shots you and wonder what the fuck happened then find all this shit you never found the first time around.

I'm sorry you couldn't experience this blissful confusion, it's why Bloodborne became my favorite souls

Did you fight Defiled Amydgala?

Amygdala was a joke.

These are some of the shittiest opinions I've read in ages on this board, and that's saying something.

yes and no
From have its moments and make really good areas enemies and bosses and sometimes include something not that good or uselessly hard
There is good hard and cheated hard or more like lazy hard

Every game studio these days commit this sin of being lazy in enemy design and just come up with a huge loud and threatening giant
One shooting players or wiping the all screen with something before doing some lighting shower aoe or sort
Usually it doesn’t require any skills, just to learn the timing or placement perfectly like an autist
Not fun

Meanwhile some bosses aren’t hard enough but are fun like the with of hemwick changing with your insights or trying to figure which celestial emissary is the right one etc

It’s much better when an enemy fit in the story/lore rather than being just some takeshi castle aoe fest with fucky cam placement

Because ‘hard’ bosses are just there for autists so they can say, hero bro I one shoted it with my magic build on ng+7 bro, git gud bro

Get over it, some bosses are better designed than the other, nothing is hard
It’s like enemies, none are hard depending on your level and equipment but some are great and some just feel lazy (frontier rock throwers yetis etc)

None of the bosses in Bloodborne are hard outside of maybe Gas-coin on your first try.

The standard one was. Defiled was hard. Until I realised you just stand still when it jumps and stagger it as soon as it lands lmao

Not an argument you fag

Who else is triggered by that fucking door that can’t be opened?

I just want to go on a date with The Doll and marry her and have kids with her.

u cant marry a doll retard
