If you want the no line weight look, you need less lines. Learn where to put emphasis, and do what you can to draw the eyes there, where that emphasis be of an object, action, texture or weight, etc.
If you've ever heard someone referring to an artist's work and commenting on "it's the lines he DIDN'T draw", that's what they mean. Making an image too busy can end up making it look very flat. Nice proportions and such otherwise.
