Is there a character in Smash that you actually like fighting against?
Seems that everyone just bitches about [x] character playing lame or being braindead, but I never see someone actually saying "playing against this character is fun".

No. I used to only do one match and not do rematches when playing online just because I never really wanted to face anybody again, the few times I did was when someone was playing my main better than me.
Heavyfags and captain falcon mains will falseflag as other players and try to say they love playing against those characters because "it's a real test of skill" or some bullshit like that.

I like mirror matches and good Little Mac players.

Falcon vs Ganon, I actually like playing on any side of the coin, either doing dumb combos or killing in 3 moves.

I think thats why Smash 4 is still loved by few people here and there because some matchups where just insanely fun.

>Opponent picks Lucas, pick Ness
>Opponent picks Samus, pick Zero Suit or vice-versa
>Opponent picks Fox, go for Falco or vice-versa
>Opponent picks Mario, go for Doc
It actually makes the matches really fun

Falcon's movement wasn't botchered in 4, which is funny taking how everyone now complains about how slow the game is.
Also his footstool and jab-lock shenanigans were dope.

Hate fighting any character with multihits because they are generally safe attacks with quick recovery as well for some retarded reason.

I like playing against swordies other than Ganondorf and Hero. Wario is fun to play against, and though I feel like I almost never see them, I always enjoy my matches against Captain Falcon and Inkling.

The only characters in the game that I really have a dislike of playing against are Yoshi, Hero, and Mario. They can just fuck off.

I really like playing against any character that generates an item you can use against them like ROB, Diddy, Bowser Jr, Pac-Man, etc. The only exception is Banjo since his grenades don't lead into much for my characters and I can't find many opportunities to even throw one at him with his eggs and Wonderwing and whatnot

Face a good Jigglypuff and you'll understand why I despise the fucking balloon.

Quite a few. I'm an inkling main and I actually kinda like fighting Links. Splat bomb trumping his projectiles means I don't have to worry too much about him backing off to spam and it's kinda fun making aggressive approaches while dodging projectiles.

fighting against Pac Man is always a good time, because you either get to use his tools against him or he pulls off some crazy bonus fruit combo

Swordies. They're not that bad of a matchup for Ridley, and beating a higher tier character is always great.

I like playing against evil characters. Like King Dedede, Ridley, Gannondorf.

As a Sheik main, every heavy character is fun to play against. I can just relax and pull off stuff that would never work against other characters. Playing against other combo heavy or technical characters is also fun. I can appreciate when they pull something off and it's rewarding when you figure out how to play against it.

Ridley is a disgustingly easy character for how good he is, how do you feel about you crutching on him? Are you not good at the game? Oh wait, no Ridley player is actually good. All of their wins come from his broken moves killing much too early, with less skill involved than even Ganondorf.

All of my points stand, do you have difficulty with other characters or what? I think you should try playing a character that takes effort and get back to me; I was able to get Ridley into elite smash with ease. As a Palutena player it's pretty hilarious when Ridley mains act like they're good, when in reality they're crutching hard and have difficulty with anyone else.

There's no cover to be blown, what's hard to comprehend about Palutena having a much higher skillcap than Ridley? It's quite hilarious how the imbeciles on this board act as if they know anything, though I suppose that's why you'll see people defending Ridley's ease of use.

Hero is definitely interesting to fight. Once you realise all his offensive spells fit into one of three general sizes (close-mid range melee, long range in a straight line, or explosion immediately in front or on him) it becomes mostly about getting good position based on that in neutral and when you get a read on his command selection and can approach off that it's great. Very satisfying to see the command selection come up with mostly projectiles/buffs meaning jump in is free and reacting in time.

Fellow sheik main, I don’t like fighting heavies because it’s kind of a slog of me comboing them for ages and them occasionally getting hits in that kill.
I just feel like i’m being annoying alot of the time and getting undeserved combos.
My favorite matchup playing sheik is probably bayonetta.
My least favorite is by far the rats.

The character is designed to frustrate their opponent. Once their offence starts, they try their best to make you completely powerless, which i doubt is very fun to fight against. And getting fucked up by Sopo can destroy your mentality. Big D vs Pandarian at Pinnacle shows this off well
