I didnt care about its exclusivity at first especially since ive had access to it since day one and still do but ive grown to hate sony and I absolutely dread the preservation of this game now that Ive seen demons souls on PC before it even comes to PS4. SONY absolutely hates videogames and they wont even do the bare minimum to make sure that the classics that made their dogshit systems what they are would always be accessible on their newest machine ( you literally cant even play shit like the classic RE let alone the silent hill games on PS4). I would assume that the bare fucking minimum would be to make sure that there is a dedicated team of monkeys that goes through every fucking remotely relevant title and either sees to it that they emulate flawlessly on their newest machine OR that they would be straight up reverse engineered by someone like bluepoint to port them natively to their digital store. Neither is obviously happening to any game that anyone actually cares about

I do own it (picrelatedon the left) and never finished it. Not because it is hard but because I simply lost interest. I used a 2-hands axe and would charge this circling attack that hit everyone around me. That's all I ever did because it worked too well. Also you run around with something like 20 health potions. The settings are great, but performance (framerate/graphics) are dogshit. You can tell this was an "early" PS4 game
Anyway I had more fun with Sekiro, DS1 anf DS3

It's good. It's not a masterpiece that surpasses Lovecraft and literature itself as every fanboy wants to make you believe, but it's really good. I basically bought a PS4 for this and a couple of other exclusives and do not regret it at all.

That's not as bad because nintendo consoles are easier to emulate.

the gameplay, after 8 hours, is the same repetitive souls combat which, after (arguably) 5 games, it gets stale real fast (and by fast, I mean 2000+ hours into the games... dont even like them by now)

5th - Dark Souls 3. Pure Lore / graphics shitfest, nothing in the game is mechanically appealing, and it's proven by it's community of 15 years old whom only played DS3 and nothing else from FROMsoft

There’s no story in Bloodborne, just a lot of hinting at some heavy themes with good art direction to sell it. Sekiro tried to tell an actual story and it sucked.

Im a novelist and I have lovecrafts entire career right next to me in a giant collection. You know literally nothing about storycraft or writing in general if you think lovecraft is more knowledgeable or talented than miyazaki in any shape, way or form. Lovecraft is in fact an extremely untalented pulp writer who wrote spooky stories for magazines but he had some fun stuff and some great ideas. Miyazaki on the other hand is the cream of the crop of his own medium and lovecraft would probably kill himself in jealousy if he saw bloodborne and the way it tells this giant horror epic poem through gothic and cosmic horror with such a strong structure and ability to intertwine so many concepts and pieces together into a strong whole where lovecraft himself struggled to even tell any one of his short stories with a few characters so the vast majority of his pieces just boils down to excessive description
