Only reason I even bought a PS4 is because the Spyro trilogy was only on PS4/XB1 when it first released.

Majority of the games I want to play are on PC or able to be emulated, so I don't see myself buying a PS5 (or any other console) unless a game I really really want is exclusive to it.

Right is optional. You could have right stick on top and and buttons below like WiiU pro or the opposite. It doesn't matter because the usage is split. On the left side you LITERALLY NEVER use the d-pad as the primary inputs. The left stick should sit in the most ergonomic position, which is on top. Symmetry for the sake of symmetry is a fucking terrible argument, and even going by this logic the WiiU pro would be the best choice
