Final Fantasy VII Reboot

I meant that that characters and the locations are all the same so far. It isn't as drastic a change as, say, Devil May Cry and DmC that only share character names and changes literally almost everything else. From what I've seen so far of FFVII (and I'm avoiding spoilers, or trying to), it doesn't seem THAT different from the original. It seems more like some meta fanfic-level interference or some shit.

>Sephiroth shows up after beating them. Fight is basically AC-tier of anime bullshit with Aeris and Tifa joining in. Sephiroth gets a black wing mid-fight because of course he fucking does
>while this happens we flashback to Zack surviving his last stand in an alternate timeline
>after beating Sephiroth he teleports Cloud to the "edge of creation" and asks for his help in "defying destiny... together". He refuses and fight similar to their final omnislash duel ensues
>the party escapes Midgar. We continue Zack's scene with him walking to Midgar with a comatose Cloud holding on to him. Remake Aeris and Alt! Zack sense each other
>fade to black

Not at all, the original 7 is a good place to start followed by 9. If you like these two feel free to play the rest pre 13, you'll probably love them all, 2 and 8 are a little weird though.

Yeah this is the hallmark of someone with no formal writing/literature education. This dude's writing has the depth of a spilled drink, there's absolutely no intrigue, it's just manufactured drama and constant, non-stop backpedaling to retroactively add shit when people call him out on being a hack.
