So if my island is full can I still invite villagers from mystery islands to my campsite, and then invite them to my island from there, or do I have to wait for one of them to leave and then desperately search mystery islands before Nook fills the plot with some rando?

I've never seen mystery island villagers spawn if there isn't a vacant house. I think you can only wait for campers, then if you like the camper you're given the option to kick out one of the current residents (I think)

I see. So if you want to pick your villager, you're better off not building a plot until you're ready to go searching. It's weird, people were complaining about how this game let you refuse villagers you don't want but it sounds like you don't actually have a lot of control over that.

Unless you have a lot of nook miles to burn. If you leave a plot vacant for too long it will autofill with a random villager eventually.

Are the villagers on Nook Miles islands completely random or are they weighted in any way? I have beaten the game (got KK) and have 9 villagers, and yesterday I went to 5 islands and met Octavian 3 times in a row.

I have another question. I read something that if you create too many player characters, it lowers the number of villagers you can have? Is that true? What's the maximum before it starts removing villagers?

Note, the game doesn't ask you which villager you get to kick out. A random villager will be removed from your island.

The only way to decide yourself is to use a campsite villager summoned with an amiibo card.

Unless I'm getting mixed up, I heard you can still choose the villager if you quit the game before it autosaves. You just keep trying until the villager you want to leave leaves. But I have yet to do this myself so I don't know much about it. How does it work with Amiibos, they just give you a list and you pick?

>How does it work with Amiibos, they just give you a list and you pick?
Yes

Man I should really get an NFC chip, sounds like it would be a lot less stress. Actually, fuck it, anyone know if there is a guide somewhere and a link to downloads? May as well.

Also if you have a plot open you are allowed to recruit villagers from other players islands only if they are moving and have already started packing. I gave away a Del to an user here.

So if I even dare to invite a camper at 10 villagers, I risk losing one of my favorites? Or can you still backpedal and prevent that?

Why are toddlers allowed on this website, it's a fucking game for 5 year olds

Here ya go.

You can savescum like mentioned

Thanks, this is exactly what I needed. Zucker will be mine.

>tags are single use

What.

They're also $25 for a pack of 50 which is more than you'll ever need.

Don't bother worrying about island Villagers. All the pre KK Villagers can never get a fully unique house and are stuck with generic trash furniture and layouts

That's wrong. The first camper onwards is where they start having unique houses, so villager #6. Incidentally I have a feeling they will fix this house thing in a later patch because people seem to be complaining about it a lot, but for now the only villagers with generic houses are ones you have no control over who they are.

Do Americans?

Still, why the fuck are they single use?

Have you seen what they look like? They're tiny little flappy stickers. It's insanely impressive technology that they work at all.

Also, in case there's confusion, they aren't single use in the "use once and they're done forever" sense. You just can't write any other amiibos to that tag.

You have control over villagers number 3,4 and 5 though.

How?

Well you can pick them from the islands, just like your seventh to tenth villagers, except you can do all three in the same day.

Just got this game today. My starting villagers were Sterling and Cherry so I'm pretty fucking happy with that. What should I name my island, bros? I'm one character short from 'Coomtopolis' and I don't have any decent ideas. What'd y'all name yours?

My island name is a secret, but I suggest naming yours Rogueport.

>I'm one character short from 'Coomtopolis'
Don't name your island after some stupid internet fad or sex pun or whatever, you'll definitely regret it in the long run.

Oh, I didn't know that. That's probably not how you're intended to do it though, you're supposed to make the indoor and outdoor decorations and deposit them in the boxes.

Galaxy brain, you right.
fucking brilliant thank you

>you're supposed to make the indoor and outdoor decorations and deposit them in the boxes
Yes? This has nothing do with that.

It does because those are villagers 3, 4, and 5. If you're fetching them from the islands you're sequence breaking.

I have a campsite villager replacing one or my starting villagers
Will the exterior/interior of the house still change when the villager moves in or no?
I ask because I thought there was something about it not changing

Attached: 1578878617528.jpg (308x279, 30.58K)

Yes. Once they're gone you never have to see a generic interior again.

I really don't understand what you're trying to say here, what do the decorations have to do with the islanders?

Yeah, I figured it out, but still, that's stupid.

Honestly I don't understand what you're saying either so let's just end this for now and resume some other time.

Thank God
Does the outside of the house change for the new villager or does it retain the previous villagers look?

I don't see how what I'm saying is weird in any way, what I've done is what almost every single person playing the game has done, when you start going to the islands you'll encounter villagers you can invite until you've invited three and they'll later fill the three empty plots, there's no sequence breaking there, that's just what you're supposed to do, if you don't then Tom Nook will just invite randoms to fill the plots.

I jist realized some villagers don't have noses and it's fucking me up

Who cares noses are ugly

Holy shit are these powersaves packs really 60+ dollars?

if you have already an smug villager it is possible to get one in the mystery islands?

If you mean the house, yes
If you mean the furniture outside, no

You can get as many smug villagers as you want.

Do Mexicans?

Attached: Curlos_NH.png (344x496, 228.3K)

Yes, there's no bias toward the missing personalities after the mandatory smug.

What do I need to rewrite the ntags? I'm sure those stickers don't have anything I can plug into

Yeah I meant the house itself
Thanks user

thanks anons, i was saving nook miles and i couldnt find a clear answer on this

I had a vacant plot for 2 days and it got filled
Fucking pisses me off

It sounds too good to be true but I've heard that having bought the plot but not setting it up is enough to make potential villagers appear in the islands without risking it being assigned to a random one, can anyone confirm or infirm?

That's a lot of time to leave it open. Of course it would get filled.

I did see a post saying that so I have heard that rumor as well but I have no confirmation if it is true.

You're better off just burning your Nook Miles that exact same day the plot opens up, the spot won't get filled until the next day at minimum

The mystery islands are like playing Wind Waker for the first time. Just coming across a bunch of wacky ass islands where you have no idea what's gonna happen.

Is $15 a good price for a dakimakura? That is a lot lower than I was expecting it to be. Maybe it's because it's one of the less lewd ones I have seen. But I really like the character on it.

It's a suspiciously low price.
