ITT : games that became worse with updates

fpbp, Alpha had far more soul and a way comfier ambience than modern minecraft. Alpha lighting, the exploits and glitches that gave the game character like water elevators, those were the days. I sound like a boomer for something that was literally only a decade ago.

Used to be all about sandbox servers and building and all that juicy autistic shit, but 13 got the attention of Youtubers and obviously kids flooded the game. Now it's all DarkRP, TTT, and Cinema servers. All the sandbox servers have blacklisted props and friendly fire on so nobody builds, they just shoot. A lot of them have no-clip disabled and I even saw one that had blacklisted the Weld tool. There's a server called I Just Want To Build that is absolutely clinging on to the game trying to give people a place to build, but most people aren't interested.

Honestly I stopped playing completely after Gmod 13, they removed so much of what I thought was good about it, and none of my addons worked until after months when the authors released patches for them

No it wasn't, you couldn't destroy enemy stickies and it was like that for months before they removed it, medic had no uber penalty for ubering multiple targets, engineer couldn't move buildings, pyro couldn't airblast, etc

the first month or two of fortnite was actually pretty fun. it was just a goofy looking shooter with some fun gunplay but just got more and more retarded as it grew in popularity and changed the map and people realized you could build shit. itd be a great vanilla shooter

TF2 use to have fun weapons, but Valve thinks fun is not allowed. They nerfed all the good weapons because they think everything needs to be weak to be balanced. Fuck that, give me wacky weapons.

They fucked up so hard with 13, there was a petition to revert it back to Gmod 12. Pre-13 was so much better, fucking around and making autismos rage on vanila DarkRP was hilrarious.

They've added some useless shit, but nothing has ruined the game.
It's still, at it's core, the same game. And certain additions have made it better.
Overall, I don't think this is a fair inclusion.

The idea was solid.
The execution however...

Cow mangler has a spammable alt fire that doesn't instantly kill unless already hurting but is pretty annoying, infinite ammo too. Beggar's hasn't been nerfed AFAIR, I think it's a balanced weapon all around and I have my fun with it. I do agree that baby face blaster was an undeserved nerf though

Only thing I can think of, is the sandvich drop for medium health pack thing, which isn't THAT terrible...
