Revenge is the manliest reason to fight.

This

fpbp

No it's not, protecting your loved ones is.

Imagine picking the most simp character from greek mythology for your game. why tho

that's one of the gayest reasons to fight

YES

He got his revenge though, he had no reason to go completely crazy in 2.

And he got his revenge.

You didn’t even play the game, retard

Sexy Lenin

for boys
for men

>Zeus drains his godly power, destroys his entire Spartan army, tries to kill him, then goes to destroy Sparta itself for the lols
>Kratos had no reason to want revenge

being a character from greek mythology is enough reason

Kratos & Atreus >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> literal shit >>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Joel & Ellie

Attached: i.jpg (1280x1280, 142.64K)

Saying shit this retarded just makes the feminists look right.

hold up on the sexism/homophobia my man jeez

Literally the most brainlet reason to fight. You're not fighting for any ideal or higher purpose, you're just being a wild animal biting the other animal that bit you. Try again.

Sounds pretty manly to me

men are supposed to be logicl beings

>Ugh! I hate you daddy!!!

The Gods didn't keep their word. If those fucking retards had just removed his nightmares, then guess what, Kratos might not have seen fit to be such a fucking psychopath. But of course, they only said his sins would be "forgiven" ; ^ )

>how DARE you do something that's only about half as bad as the shit I do on a daily basis!

Athena outright says that it's impossible for anyone to forget the things Kratos had done.

>the entire reason for sending Kratos on the quest to kill Ares was because Zeus had outlawed the gods from fighting each other
>Zeus swoops down and murders the god of war after he tricked him

Zeus is the biggest asshole in greek mythology

I don't think they even had the power to remove his nightmares, except maybe Morpheus but he's not around

what a faggot

>make Kratos the new God of War
>WTF why are you waging war?!

AFTER he killed Ares

Why wouldn't they? You don't think at least one of them could? Hell, wasn't Athena about to do that at the end of Ghost of Sparta?

user, Kratos literally could not forgive himself and no matter what the gods did otherwise he would still be tormented because that's kinda the point.
Because being Greek means you are born to suffer.

>original Kratos is a retarded child who destroys everything in whatever direction he's currently pointed at
>Yas Forums defends him

kek

>Gods swindled him on their contract, only "forgiving" his deeds
>Placed him in a position he never even asked for instead of letting him end it
>The very last members of his family get killed directly or indirectly thanks to the Olympians.
>No reason

You didn’t play the game did you?

Multiple times, actually.

So why didn’t you pay attention to the story?

>you should enjoy when people fuck your life and not fight back
you are a perfect slave for current year :)

>user, Kratos literally could not forgive himself and no matter what the gods did otherwise he would still be tormented
Forgive himself? He couldn't, but he didn't want forgiveness, he wanted the visions to end

I did, and I'll just repeat myself since you've brought nothing to the table:

>original Kratos is a retarded child who destroys everything in whatever direction he's currently pointed at
>Yas Forums defends him

kek

Oh, Kratos just killed people who wronged him? Is that what you really want to go with?

>a child is not a soldier that fights for country
>a child is not forced to see his army lose the battle and his men slaughtered around him
>a child wouldn’t make a contract with a god to save his men and himself
>a child wouldn’t be betrayed by the gods and forced to kill his own wife and daughter because of the gods hubris

Better than "muh boi".

This would've been amazing if it was more like Poseidon's death, or graphic as fuck.

Joel and Ellie was really nice. That whole fiasco with the Fireflies may be all sorts of retarded, but it was cool to have the game end with Joel lying to Ellie's face.

LITERALLY just had to let Kratos kill himself and her plan to kill Ares would've gone off without a hitch and nothing bad would've happened after. Could've picked ANYONE ELSE to be the new God of War.

Was Athena stupid?

>This would've been amazing if it was more like Poseidon's death, or graphic as fuck.
But it was really well done. You could beat Zeus up for however long you wished for, that was definitely graphic enough.

That's precisely the whole point of Kratos as a character, so fucking closeted 12 year olds who want to feel mature can use him to live out their gay ass fantasy.

Yes. And she paid for her stupidity.

She was playing 4D chess to get Kratos to kill the other gods so she could rule everything by herself

It was cool for a moment, but then you realize Zeus doesn't show any sort of damage, except for the blood. Just compare that to what Hercules looks like after he's fought Kratos.

Probably like Zeus she still believed that the marked warrior was Deimos and not Kratos. That or she was being a manipulative dick see but her "forgive me, brother" at the end of GoS seems sincere.

1.) Fair point
2.) His own hubris caused his army to lose (thought he could take on a barbarian army like 10x his own's size
3.) Made a deal with Ares to save his own life since he was about to die. If it was for his men, he would have done it before the start of the battle.
4.) Ares fucked up but the other gods literally did nothing but help him in the first game.

>That's precisely the whole point of Kratos as a character
Explain, I don’t get what you’re trying to say.
>12 year olds mature gay ass fantasy
user, that seems oddly specific. Want to talk about it?

This. By lusting for revenge you are being reactive, dependent on the actions of other men to determine your fate, instead of forging your own path independent of all others. It's inherently submissive and reactionary.

Zeus is covered in his own blood and your screen goes red from beating Zeus up. Zeus is also already dead whilst you keep hitting him so he can’t take more damage than he already you has.

>Why yes, I do enjoy both the original GoW series as well as 2018 but also understand that the original Kratos was an indefensible psycho, how could you tell?

Attached: s.jpg (912x1024, 71.21K)

Are you fucking high?
>Athena uses him to get rid of Ares by dangling the idea of ridding him of his nightmares, only to fuck him over in the end with a "lol no :^)"
>Gets made in to the new God of War, so he does war stuff since its all he has now.
>Zeus FUCKS him for it, and fucks Sparta just to rub salt on the wound.
Kratos had every fucking right to be pissed at the gods in GoW1-3. I hate how GoW 2018 seems to ignore all that just so it can shove an 'anger is bad' message in your face.

Damage as in structural damage. I expected to see his face crushed or caved-in after Kratos was done.

Why are you so worried about it being "masculine" or not? You are not conscious about your own masculinity, are you?

He literally destroyed all of Greece due to his blind rage, I'd say that's bad. 2018 doesn't say that anger is bad, it says you should control your anger.

It doesn't ignore it. The whole point is that Kratos is trying to spare his son from the same fate that he went through

He didn't "do war stuff" he went on a nonstop genocidal killing spree, and he had no reason to, the sole reason of his previous anger, Ares was dead and gone.

>just so it can shove an 'anger is bad' message in your face

That's not the message. Kratos himself says that you have to control and use your anger smartly. The message is fatherhood and facing your demons.

>GOW4 ignores all this

Kratos says he killed people who were deserving and some who were not. He regretted plunging Greece into chaos.

I'm not, but the post I was replying to apparently is.

You've been cucked by media to think revenge is not a righteous cause. The exception is petty revenge.

this, fpbp

2. I’m not sure of the circumstances, wasn’t Kartons forced to fight the army as they were closing in on Sparta? And he fought the Barbarian King in hopes of killing him which would affect morale.
3. He would have run away if he was a coward. He was also a Spartan patriot so he did care about his men and it probably weighed in on his decision to make a deal with Ares
4. Ares did it on purpose, he wanted to turn Kratos into the ultimate warrior and his servant to take on Olympus after Kratos had loyally served him for a decade so he tricked Kratos into killing his own family. The other gods helped Kratos because they wanted to see Ares dead as they knew he wanted to betray them.

t. Olympian apologists
Fuck Greece and FUCK the Gods.

I think it might be more of a case of "Uncontrolled rage will kill you and those you love. Focused and controlled anger will serve you better." in the new GoW.

Kratos says as much in the beginning of the game.

I knew you'd mass reply lol.

True but that’s more for gore fags. Or maybe Zeus body was still strong enough to not be physically destroyed.

Yeah sure, let me take some fag who animeposts seriously lmao

Based. The gods were cowards who hid behind anything they could find, including the Greek civilians.

>I had to machine gun down that crowd of children! The terrorist was hiding behind them!

Yup. The contrast between the way he handles the axe and the blades of chaos is a nice testament to that. That's why Kratos was afraid of going back to the blades -- that could end up making him return to this old ways and lose control.

We do not negotiate with terrorists, user.

Sorry, this reply was meant for

That’s not what happened. The gods were cowards who hid on Mt Olympus. They could have all faced Kratos but they were too terrified of him and didn’t care about the civilians.
