What's the quickest way to gather wood without fear of wasps?
Up until today I was going around every single tree with the net and shaking for wasps and catching them, THEN going to every single tree again to gather wood but that takes forever.

Today I thought I could quick draw my net but it didn't work.

you don't have to use quick swap, the wasps don't move while your inventory is open. you can run up away from them, then switch tools and immediately swing and it'll usually work.
or just stop being lazy and clear your wasps out first, or just get wood from fruit trees since they don't have wasps.

There's usually between 3-4 wasp nests hidden in trees across your island every day, and 1 on every nook miles ticket island. Get rid of all those and you can chop freely. Shake trees standing roughly at 5 o'clock with your net out and you can just spam A to catch them if one falls.

You get the golden watering can recipe and the satisfaction of having a perfect score. I got the rating just in the process of making the island how I wanted it. You just need to have fencing/furniture/trees spread somewhat evenly across your entire island along with flowers here and there for that 5 stars.

Like I said in that post, I was going around doing 2 runs with net then axe. I had no problem catching them on the first round. Especially when your character auto-turns to them when they fall. All you need to do is shake in the middle and swing when they fall. I was just trying to avoid that first run cause it wastes time.

You can just stand difectly in front it. Works every time.... now need to think that hard about it.

You can hide some fencing along the back cliff/beach. Almost unviewable and it can knock a fair bit of fencing off her draconian fencing requirements. Fences can be nice I guess but the amount she asks for would break up gameplay too much. I’m starting to come up with some decent solutions for it outside of hiding it at least.
