I'm currently running with this thing, and it's got two big downsides: The thumbrest is too small; it's too easy to press the side buttons accidentally, making some of them useless. There's no room for my ring finger to sit comfortably on the right side or top.
Any suggestions for a palm grip wired mouse with extra buttons?
How do I prevent dirt from building up on my mouse? I am literally washing my hands every hour because of the virus and sanitising it and I still see fucking dirt build up that go into the nooks and cranny of the fucking RMB liek fuck off already
Some mice get gunkier because of the material. I used to love a cheap two button+mouse wheel HP laser mouse with a smooth-but-slightly-texture because it stayed clean and had some durability, like the old white Microsoft mice. You might just have oily skin and/or need to turn on the AC, though. If all else fails and you really can't stand it, latex gloves.
I have a Corsair mouse but this is probably the last one I'll ever but cause their iCUE software sucks donkey dick
Josiah Brooks
being forced to grip the mouse with your thumb and ring finger makes your accuracy better
Charles Flores
Anyone using one of these? I can't imagine playing shooters with one. Looks more like a necessity for the arthritic, like a trackball, but I've never seen someone actually use one.
Any recommendations for a claw gripper with more space for the thumbtip and ring finger?
Have you tried thumb and pinky with the dino claw on LMR buttons?
Juan Roberts
I might try it, but I don't actually use my right pinky by itself much, even for typing. I guess it's because right shift is farther from right pinky than left shift is from the left one. I'd rather grip with ring+pinky, either way.

no clue, not really a gear guy. used to be really poor so i always just used what i had. zowie fk1 is my favorite mouse though, as someone who only plays fps games really. if they ever made a wireless fk1 it'd be over i've tried it but it feels really unnatural to me. probably cause i'm not used to it. seems objectively superior as a grip but i just don't like the way it feels

The Razer Naga Trinity looks like it might have a good grip for the ring finger, but the configurable thumb buttons look like a gimmick piece that'll wear out. I'd probably use the grid, but I dunno if the buttons would be too easy to press accidentally.
Looks nice enough. The thumb space looks comfy, if not tall enough. I don't bother with wireless, though.
used to use a Naga for world of warcraft back when I played that garbage. it's a decent mouse, and the buttons are really clicky on the side so you don't ever really press them accidentally. the problem with the Naga is that you're guaranteed to be replacing it in a year. they're manufactured like dogshit. also personally never had a problem with double-clicking and double-scrolling but i've heard tons of people say their Naga started double-clicking within a few months of purchase, they're notorious for it.

I've seen bad reviews for Razer mice in the past, but a friend or two of mine vouched for them. I just got a Blackwidow Ultimate 2016 keyboard not too long ago (my first mechanical); I'm hoping it's going to last me at least a few years.

>palm grip >large hand Practically your only option is finalmouse but they're retarded as fuck and don't make enough mice to meet demand. Steelseries also make larger mice but they're more expensive than other mice without being really any better, just bigger. Weight is a thing to consider but if you like the g502's weight a steelseries will probably be fine.
Connor Ross
My friend who plays MMOs like wow and xiv with me has been using the grid Naga for years and loves it. He binds every single button on the grid for attacks and abilities and parses in the 95-99th percentile. I tried using the Naga for a while and couldn't get used to it, though. The buttons felt too small so I just shelved it. I imagine it takes a lot of time to build up the muscle memory for the grid.
Blake Howard
How's the Microsoft Pro Intellimouse?
Noah Murphy
I don't want that hex-mesh style; I can imagine it being filled with finger-funk-gunk too easily. The G502 is a little heavier than I'd like, but I'll look into Steelsies. The Rival 310, 500, and 710 look alright.
Bought a Deathadder Chroma Day 1 that didn't last me even 2 years before MB1 stopped working. Recently got a Corsair Harpoon for like 30 bucks that works. Just wish it were a bit bigger. Kind of new to mice, what's the real premium shit that money can buy. Doesn't have to be wireless.
Parker Nguyen
Looks... pretty good, from what I'm reading about it. Big enough, nice shape, only lacking in extra buttons.
Levi Perry
"Premium", if you just mean expensive, tends to mean RGB lights and some meaninglessly high numbers for buttons, DPI, etc.
Function, comfort, and durability > all else.
John Walker
Of course. RGB is nice, but I figured the things you mentioned would be the premium part. >Function, comfort, and durability At least 2 extra buttons on the side
Dominic King
>filled with finger-funk-gunk Are your hands incredibly dirty or something? I have a glorious model D which I use for probably 6-8 hours a day and the only parts that accumulate any dead skin are the mouse buttons themselves, not the hole bits. It's literally a non issue, don't let it discourage you from buying a mouse that is incredibly light compared to traditional style mice.
Tyler Diaz
r o c c a t Never had an issue with mice from them that wasn't caused by the postman slinging the package at my door
I use this piece of shit right here. Rosewill RGM-400, powered by Cheap Chinese Laborâ„¢. Got it for like $12 on Amazon, 4 years ago. Beat the absolute fuck out of this thing, even kept it in my backpack when I was homeless. Feels great and I shit on kids with it. I've used a few different mice, the popular Logitech ones and a couple Razer like the Naga and the Deathadder. I would choose this one over 90% of other mice. My only complaint is that it's a little short for my giant skelly fingers so a palm grip is impossible, but I claw it anyways.
I've always found logitech gear lasted me a long long time. Perhaps the re-released mx518 would be a good port of call, but I don't know how cheap those new model ones are
Angel Nguyen
Got a Kone Aimo, excellent mouse.
Xavier Jones
Mionix Avior and Naos are both the comfiest mice I've ever used. That and the software for them isn't as cancerous as some of the bigger brands.
see Mine are 19~cm long and 10.5 wide leaving them slightly too large for medium size mice. Currently on a glorious model D, I put up with it being slightly too small for my hand because I am addicted to the lightweight mice with all the holes punched in them, I took this mouse because finalmouse air58 ninjas were not available / prohibitively expensive from resellers on ebay etc.
Glorious so far copied 2 zowies to do small/medium size mice so I can only imagine in future they're going to make/copy a large size one as well. If it follows the patter of the model O being an ambidextrous mouse and then D being a purpose built right-hander, probably not worth waiting for them to go through that process as it could be quite some time if that is even the road they go down which I can't say for certain.
Unless you feel like waiting or you will compromise as I did and get a slightly smaller mouse that isn't a great fit, steelseries is almost the only show in town for large hands. I also found the razer deathadder to be a great fit for my size, but the weight drove me to the model D and I've stuck with that since, the weight reduction for me is good enough that it beats out the better fit of the deathadder. The MX518 re-release is also on the larger side and I owned one way back in the day of their original release, very ergonomic shape, incredibly comfortable mouse to use, but more or less the same size as a model D which again, is smaller than I'd like.
Blake Lee
I could pass on the heartrate feature (in-game overlays suck, anyway), but the Naos looks pretty comfy.
The Nyth looks decent.
I just remembered having one of these a long time ago; I think it felt fairly light. Can't remember exactly how good of a grip it gave me, but I can't remember anything to complain about, really.
I'm using an ambidextrous mouse (G Pro Wireless) for fps games and its okay comfort-wise (fantastic in everything else). I'm just super sad no one's making left handed mmo mice anymore.
I have a lefty Naga but it's dying and no longer in production. Razer said they'd make a new lefty Naga eventually but coronavirus apparently has delayed it
My negroid, I used Naos for couple of years - comfy as fuck. Too bad I have fucked up switch on one of side buttons now, I think I should replace that.
I love the old ones and honestly that fade looks slick as fuck
Elijah Davis
I still find the MM710 feels better in my hand, Swiss cheese holes and all. There was some QC problems at launch, but most units on shelves should be the fixed one by now.
The only good mice are cheap as living fuck mice that don't look like they've been dropped and glued back together like seemingly every mouse these days. And it's not like expensive mice last any longer, they're shit too.
Luke Harris
It actually looks far better in person than in promo shots honestly. It's much more subtle in natural lighting.
Also I'm not a big RGB guy but the tail-light is fully customizable and able to be disabled, I have it set to purple.
Anthony Moore
i liked this mouse and then it got the double click issue on lmb and rmb fuck this piece of shit
I wash my hands frequently, even before the Old Milwaukee virus made it a meme.
Robert Reed
Is this intended as a joke or did the person taking these photos live in abject squalor without knowing it? I can't imagine how disgusting a person would have to be that their hands are this dirty at their computer.
Eli Rogers
most keyboards end up looking like this under the keys eventually. An open-top mouse succumbs to it the same way. It's real.
Daniel Thomas
I had the G602 but it just got so worn that I got this instead. I have zero complaints.
Does anyone have any recommendations for a mouse like this?
Ian Richardson
I have to agree, the side buttons aren't too useful and they are in a bad position so you keep pressing them accidentally. I can't count how often I changed mouse sensitivity by accident or caused a page change.
Jack Cox
using a Zowie EC1-A for 6 years now, works perfect and no complaints other than the scrollwheel but got used to it now
have to say though that this new lightweight gaming mouse fad is hilarious to say the least
fucking laugh my ass off at reviewers pretending like its suddenly a MUST for all
Jordan Myers
>eventually I had a keyboard for longer than a decade that didn't look that bad. There was a lot of hair but all that greasy looking food material or whatever that brownish shit is in those photos was not present in my keyboard.
Asher Cook
I have this mouse too but it feels too heavy if you're twitch aiming a lot. In fact any fast movements with it feel sluggish.
Oliver James
I bought this for cheap on a whim sometime in 2014 and its still going strong, the little graphic where your palm would be has faded but everything still works fine. My only problem with it is the driver software is laggy as because its discontinued and there's some annoying settings you need to disable like the noises when changing profiles or dpi
