Basically impossible without scrapping most of it. Decades of dungeon crawlers out there and the devs boiled all that history down to a repetitive slog that oscillates between linear procgen repetitive dungeons and the mobile game township elements. At least the art is good

unless I missed something you can only upgrade it so it adds a chance of higher level recruits, so if you want a specific hero you have to first hope one arrives and then hope that he/she rolled to be higher leveled

I played half through radiant and decided i didnt want to do too many runs so i said fuck it and restarted on normal. Iirc i lost 2 or 3 runs because of economy and my winning run (dlcs included) only lost TWO characters.

Warrens? Godly mark party with bounty hunter, occultist and arbalest
Weald? Bleed party with flaggelant and jester
Cove? Dual shieldbraker is fucking op

Before anything else, in order to progress you have to mass suicide tons of heroes and dismiss them instead of using your gold for stress removal

The only thing they need to change is there should be a merchant you can buy antidotes, bandages, etc from using crystals during endless mode and nerf the damn reflections, they were unnecessary.

The only issues with the game are the bosses and eventually you wear out the comps. If you're bad you'll have to grind a lot, but that's true of hundreds of games.

No, you can literally beat the game on STYGIAN/BLOODBMOON in 16 weeks (runs).

The bosses the real main issue. Basically reskinned, but Im guessing the devs didnt want to piss off players by giving the bosses even more gimmicks that would lean towards bullshit.

Other than that, any other game that has ever tried to be DD has failed. I guess you could say this game raises the standards of it.

I might give it another go, then. Every time I got an urge to do another run I always got dissuaded by the sheer amount of grind first and foremost, but the shit they kept doing to the game to make it more 'challenging' because they didn't like how players were playing.

It'll be pretty fucking hard considering the game is just a bunch of rng and grind masked as difficulty, but:
>Make positioning even more important, since it's like the one mechanic they did fine
>Rebalance lighting. Why the FUCK do you get more loot and do more damage in the dark, and all the light does is basically just increase rng scouting chances?
>Give the player more information during battle, (eg: show a turn order/what target the enemies are going to attack, etc)
>Remove accuracy, traps, and hunger procs (keeping dodge as a specific temporary buff stat is fine)
>Make the zones less one dimensional, add more enemy variety
>Make it so you gain stress slower but it ends up being a bigger deal, instead of something that's basically just take a 1 dungeon break with your characters every so often
>Give the heroes more fucking moves, increase the 4 move cap, and make them not boring as fuck. Fucking pokemon has better move variety.
>Also make the camping skills less boring
>Heavily reduce the grind
>Make trinkets less shit
>Make gear less boring
>Make everything about the town less boring
>Make more unique perks
I've said it before and I'll say it again, these niggers probably decided to spend all their money on art instead of programmers, which is why you have the absolute most basic shit in terms of mechanics in this game.

I'm so tired of this stupid shit you people say; it's not fucking true. They balanced things, fixes legitimate bugs, and added new mechanics. They didn't get pissy because people discovered strategies and then remove them.

This sums it up pretty well, its one of the best executed style over substance games I've ever played, it masks its lack of mechanical ability under a damn good aesthetic and the illusion of difficulty.

There's next to no RNG in the game.

You forgot to mention recycling bosses and enemies for every of the three levels of difficulty for the sake of adding padding to the game. The first couple hours of the game are the best because everything is fresh and all you have to look forward to is the same shit over and over until the Darkest Dungeon. Or the DLCs, I guess.

We've already established there's over 20 unique bosses. Every difficulty you progress through introduces new enemies. There's so much enemy and boss variety and yet you still whine.

m8, you can go to the final dungeon from the very second you enter the hamlet. People beat the hardest difficulty in less than 16 weeks with no deaths. You're not forced to do shit, even grinding is optional.

An enemy dodging your attack is not RNG. If it was, 99.9% of all video games are pure RNG.
