I'm at war with 5 different factions, none of which have any castles or cities or even armies. How the fuck do I end these wars? On the other hand, how do I declare war on a faction with no land? Every time I try to attack one of their guys running around they tell me they don't want no trabby and I just accept it and have no option to fight

How can you train tons of recruits fast?
I've put 110 recruit in my city garrison, it's been a week and none of them were upgradable

take them out and autoresolve against looters

theres supposed to be an upgrade in castle/city management but it doesn't work right now, so you just auto resolve on looters like the other guy said

Let your companions do missions for you. Seriously.
Double that with village heads that have elite units on offer.
I personally keep two rouge-skilled companions in my team, to do the spy missions. The one other common misssion from faction lords is passing mercs to another lord. If you succeed in the persuasion check, you get double the points, so to speak.

Taking that troop training request in the early game was unwise, I am being expected to chase down bandits that I am unable to catch up with
Taking my first companion and ended up with sweet fuck all money after it was also unwise

And then he gets upset with me for not returning the troops on time when I was never given an option to do so when I visited him
