How the fuck do I find a desk that's the right height? I bought one where it was too low then got another that was too high. I tried measuring but it seems like even a half an inch can completely fuck up the feel of a desk

the ultimate thing is making your own desk but it can be expensive if you don't have access to materials already, especially if you plan to resin coat. then you get to set the height and not deal with fucking Ikea particle board snapping if you look at it wrong.

You get a standing desk that you can freely adjust up/down.

make your own or buy manually adjustable standing desk not the electronic ones the lifts break and it's just a pain in the fucking ass and then put ergotron arms on that bitch faggot. I don't know why I give good suggestions in these threads since everyone here is basic bitchboy unemployed neets.

have you tried the hyken hack? you can kind of flip the headrest around so the base height is a little higher

if your problem is instead the headrest always sliding to the lowest height you can jam something into the holes in the back to prevent it from slipping down

Because of built in redundancy. 14 years ago I bought a chair. 2 years later the back broke. I kept the parts that still works. I then bought another chair. 2 years later the plate that fixes the cylinder to the base breaks. I'm about to buy a new chair, but instead I do something else.
I go into the cupboard, and I pull out that old chair. I remove everything above the plate that fixes the cylinder to the base. I attempt to attach the top of my broken chair to the bottom of my old broken chair. It fits. Of course it fits. Why the fuck wouldn't it fit? All these fucking faggot companies use the same standardized parts. They could make a chair that lasts a lifetime if they wanted to. But they don't. Because that wouldn't sell as much as a chair you have to buy again every two years. It ain't pretty, but I've been sitting comfortably on my Frankenstein chair for 5 years now. Combine that with the lifespan of the previous two chairs it is made of and that's 9 years.
The moral of this story is; don't trust manufacturers. Save your parts. Make your own fucking chair.

I do have a gaming chair, but it's not one of these dumb looking racecar chairs.
It's just a generic office chair with a tall back.
I've been looking for a good chair with fabric cushions. 99% of the chairs use the fake leather stuff, and that crap always cracks and starts peeling, making the chair worthless in a year or two.
This is the best I've found so far, but I haven't bought anything yet.

I don't shit money and I have something supremely more comfy - a bed, mounted TV, a console hooked up to it, and my computer plugged into it. Keyboard on a pillow on my stomach, wireless mouse at my side.

My chair is still comfortable enough, and it's as basic as it can get. The ability to lift and lower is fucked, and I actually removed the fixed armrests because they made the chair too wide to fit in the spot under my desk, and were cold hard plastic with no padding anyways. If I were to buy a new chair, I would have to get a new desk as well, and I can't afford that in these uncertain times.

I do have an uber comfy office chair at work though, and can crank out 50 hours of work in comfort.

You can get a new style or older one.
I got an older style one for 180 on ebay and replaced the arms rests from amazon.
With a little tinkering you can get a cheap headrest as well.

I got mine because my AC sucks and i would get swamp ass in my old leather chair. The mesh helps with airflow and the lower back support and headrest are great. the seat is a bit short, but that has actually helped with my posture and once the mesh broke in I found it more comfortable. 10/10, all other chairs are ruined for me.
