If you don't know which gender a person is (i.e. you have to visit a "Dr. Smith" that you don't much more than that name of), it would always have been correct to refer to that person as "they" until you know better.

It's not that it impacts the game in any meaningful way. It's just another piece of proof of Nintendo bending the knee to vocal minority trannies. The sex selection literally doesn't matter because the character models are indistinguishable from each other and either can have the male or female clothing and faces. I think all it might affect is NPC dialogue in the event they talk about you in third person? So really the game was already EXTREMELY accessible to trannies just by virtue of letting the player do whatever the fuck they want. But that wasn't good enough. They just HAD to remove the "male" and "female" qualifiers, and ask "what's your style" instead, legitimizing SJW bullshit about infinite genders. And I guarantee their sales would not have suffered if they just left it alone and said male or female. Even the stupid fucking trannies who screech about this bullshit on twitter still would have bought the game (those who would have in the first place).
