They should make content people care about. There was a time for these videos and it's passed. He can either continue to create them because he enjoys the content, or he can evolve because he enjoys making money.

I like to get achievements if they're not totally out of the way. But I never really bother with 100%ing the game unless I'm already super close.

Spiderman was an example of this, where just playing the game casually would get you to like 90% completion, so tracking down the last bits and pieces was super easy.

I don't care for it since there's usually no point to it in past or present games outside of padding them out. Stuff like Ghostbusters 2009 having "Drink from all the water fountains" or Resident Evil: Resistance having "Use the light switch 10 times" doesn't enhance my experience, it just shows the devs want to waste my time as much as they wasted theirs.

It doesn't help that after he had a falling out with Greg or whoever that used to do voice overs and stuff for him, he decided that he was going to redo all his old episodes that they did together. On one hand it's an excuse for easy content, but on the other hand, the burnout would really get to someone having to replay the same games again and again. It also doesn't help that his entire brand is based on being "The Completionist" and playing games to 100% for dem youtube buxs, but I guess he could maybe get an entry level management position somewhere if he said he ran a team of people to make his videos?

In-game only though, fuck outside achievements unless they're directly attached to the ones in-game. Especially if they have PvP ones in a primarily SP game or vice versa.

I will also do shit like collect all of the items it defeat all opponents etc when possible because to me that's part of 100%ing a game.

If you haven't completed the Dex (regional and National - fuck S/S), collected all of the items possible (including all of the on the ground and gifts, as well as hidden ones), and defeated all of the guaranteed trainers (even Gym ones which can often be skipped by just beating the Gym leader) then as far as I'm concerned you haven't 100%ed a main series Pokémon game, for example.

I try too, unless it's some bullshit requirement. I didn't 100% ds3 to make an example because farming 'ears of a concord kept' and sunlight medals was bs and online was already dead when I got to it.

The other case where I don't like 100% a game, but at least I try to is when to do so I have to beat a certain record/mission within a certain time.

I like trophies / achievements, but I always stop trying to earn them when I start to realize that most of them are bullshit that are not associated with really interesting things.
Things like:

Nah it usually never seems to be worth it. Just a time sink and tends to make me frustrated with the game more often than not.

Going for the 100% is fucking autistic. If the credits rolled, then in most cases I've beaten the game and had fun. For me, I just like beating games on the hardest difficulty and then moving on, unless it's a game so fucking great that replaying it is totally worth it.

Also Jirard is fucking terrible at video games. It's impressive how despite trying to 100% all the games he plays and being the god gamer finishist he is, he fucking sucks and struggles with the normal difficulty in most games. Don't know how people can keep watching his boring format.
