Just fucking buy it

Decide for yourself about the new changes

Nice try Nomura.

>just fucking pirate it
FTFY

JUST CONSOOM FILTHY GAIJIN!

I already decided, it's shit

can someone explain why the time jannies were circling the shinra HQ? Why didn't they stop Cloud and co from entering the singularity?

Why would I do that when the original game is still better than anything SE has released in the last 20 years?

No.

I already decided that I won't support any story changes

>spend money on a feces cake before deciding it tastes like shit
no

Downloading the original right now. $15 on PS4. Perfect

Based nomura.

no.

>old man yells at cloud.jpg

lol no

Faggot OP. dumbest shit you could say.
consumer awareness mother fucker. I will never buy a game that is a blatant scam with over 5 years of false advertising behind it and such disrespect for the fans good will.

i dont have a ps4 lol

I'm good. If I do ever buy this game, it'll be when it's on sale by some third party seller.

Is the steam version the best version of the original for PC?

no I'll watch le ebin eceleb half-heartedly play through it because it's his job, decided that it's bad out of sour grapes jealously because I don't get to play it and because it's cool to hate everything, and then come to this board to shit on it

Attached: file.png (434x327, 34.39K)

Can you give me 60$ first then?

sfm when?

Attached: 1586353762743.jpg (3840x2160, 352.25K)

You can't fool me, Kitase.

Where are the time jannies?

Already did. Fucking Amazon doesn't even have a real date listed, just the 14th as a placeholder delay date.

>you know you'll buy it anyway
>omg you're not buying it just because they put girls in?
>just buy it and decide for yourself don't listen to what like-minded people say
Fucking consumerist retards, literally addicted to the sound of a receipt printer, incapable of thinking for themselves and realizing when something is a waste of their money. Makes me fucking sick.

Can I get my money back? Forget ps3, it looks like a ps2 game

I cancelled my pre-order instead

I'll just save all the adorable Tifa webms and go play the original. I've given Nomura a pass for a long time, but after KH3 and this farce he's as dead to me as Kojima.

wrong pic

I mean I guess? I don't play games on PC even though I have a $2,000 gayming PC kek

Already did, got it a week ago, played it through, enjoyed it. I literally didn't give a shit about the remake until a year ago when they revealed how the combat worked and I realised that they managed to include action elements in ATB. Never expected a 1:1 remake since I read spoilers about the time ghosts back when we first got leaks, and I was pretty satisfied with what we got. It's never gonna replace the original though, I don't know why the fuck anyone would play this without playing FFVII first.

I honestly feel bad for everyone who was disappointed by this or expected something different, but it's not gonna stop me from having fun playing it.

That's a puzzle I haven't quite worked out, were they just swarming for no reason or was there something they didn't want Rufus doing in order to preserve the timeline?

That scene is uncomfortable to look at. Not a Reno fan, but the guy looked so defeated after the battle and didn't want to die. The whole game is just awkward. That scene where Sephiroth stabs Barret? Also awkward. That comedic scene where Hojo reveals the truth of Cloud or when Cloud nearly discovers Deepground only to get pushed back by a time ghost. Or when Cloud was about to execute Johnny in public. Why is this game so weird?

I've had it since Friday

It's shit, stopped at the church scene

sure i will buy it shill

Who the fuck reacts and cries over a scene from a video game like this? Are all Aerithfags this fucking weird?

They're talking about the scene when Cloud goes to rescue Aerith

Attached: clerith.png (806x778, 81.43K)

It probably has to do with Future Sephiroth being there. The ghosts appear whenever Sephiroth is nearby because he shouldn't be there.

no thanks nu-Tifa has granny tits

>Or when Cloud was about to execute Johnny in public
Wait what, isn't Johnny a normal civilian from the Slums? Why would Cloud fucking murder him.

Future Sephiroth was at the singularity on the highway though.

>Just fucking buy it
at least put some effort in, shill

I ain't giving a dime to these scumbags.
Won't even pirate it.

Shipperfags are the worst. This is why I love Bleach because that series destroyed the shippers. God, why do shippers have to exist? They should fuck off. How on Earth does a fictional romance somehow offset the AC bullshit within the game? Also, Cloud cannonically fucked Tifa, so I don't understand how "Clerith" shippers can even exist.

nuTifas tits are perfection, there are not many girls who can compare to so perfectly sculpted tits

Attached: 1586354928674.jpg (3840x2160, 615.42K)

Autistic shipperfags base their whole lives around seeing their couple become canon. And when it doesn't become canon, they screech and shitpost all day about how canon it is and anyone who disagrees didn't understand the story, even to the creators themselves.

Hell most casual Aerisfags can't stand these people. That's how embarrassing they are.

Future Sephiroth appears in the Shinra HQ. He kidnaps Jenova(?) and stabs Barret. The time jannies surround him when he's flying, and they undo the part where Sephiroth stabs Barret.

I'm going to wait a sale.

Learned my mistake from getting XV and KH3 on day 1

>tit sweat

To keep him quiet about knowing about Avalanche.

Nah, I'm going to wait until they release it all in one collection like 8 years from now. I don't want on Nomura's wild ride until I know it's going to be over and I certainly don't want to pay 60 dollars an episode for it either.

>tfw we are living the the reality where waifu fags fan fictions come true

Attached: 1563337112359.jpg (1024x1024, 269.57K)

>dont waste time padding out midgar, just flesh out a few things that are really worth it
>dont waste time on epic (shitty) AC cutscenes
>normal world map works like FF12 but more up to date
>in airship mode you can fly around on a high-res version of the OG world map, allowing you to quickly enter towns and every map area has a few designated landing points.

would this have allowed the whole game to be made in a similar timespan? would you be ok with it?

That's not Future Sephiroth you doofus, the Sephiroth that takes Jenova ends up on the roof and Cloud follows, where he sees that it's actually Clone 2. He then jumps off the building anyway so even he's not there when the whispers surround the shinra building.

>the new changes

> just support Squarecunts taking a big dump on you

Isn't that the tumblr blog of that shipper who guessed the ending of this entire shitshow?

Play PC with New Threat mod

So what are the actual problems so far that people have with the remake?

Attached: 34436.jpg (1125x1498, 172.24K)

Mostly it's time ghosts, but it seems a couple of people don't like that it's not fully an action game or fully a turn-based JRPG, and dislike the combat for that reason.

absolutely nobody is basing the decision to not buy on the combat

I was just answering the questions of what the actual problems people have so far by answering what I've heard from other people that have played it like I have. Why would I quote someone on problems of the remake who hasn't even played it yet?

it's literally the last 2 hours that turn this game from a solid remake to dog shit

So whats the big thing they changed that is having everyone be up in arms?

Time ghosts keeping the canon on track that you murder as the final boss in order to be able to change destiny.

Having """"choices"""" for no reason that didn't exist before.

I actually wasn't too interested in the remake due it ending after Midgar, but the time janny shit is just too funny and I kind of want to experience the shitshow first hand.

There is the slightest of chances this could lead to something worthwhile but I'm not going to hold my breath.
If they had just advertised the game as this in the first place people probably wouldn't have such a huge problem with it.

Some are. I mean that is part of the gameplay afterall, which is the reason you're even sitting there playing a video game.

WHEN YOU HAVE NO TALENT
WHEN YOU HAVE NO SKILL
WHO YA GONNA CALL?!
TIME JANNIES!

CONSOOM FIRST
DECIDE WHETHER CONSOOMING WAS A GOOD IDEA AFTER YOU'VE CONSOOMED

1) Money is going to be tight for a lot of people right now. Buying something you have reservations over isn't particularly smart if you need to budget.
2) If you don't like the direction a game company has gone, letting them know via poor sales is a perfectly viable way of letting them know that in a way they'll care about.
3) Tried the demo, didn't like the gameplay anyway. Why subject myself to even more of it?

Just a question. If you disconnect your console from the internet and change the internal date of the ps4 will the digital version unlock?

How did the time jannies forget about this?

I am.

>If they had just advertised the game as this in the first place people probably wouldn't have such a huge problem with it.
True, having "Remake" as part of the title is practically false advertising. We have a lawsuit on our hands boys.
Now if it was "Final Fantasy VII RE:Mako -Specters of a Promised Fate- Episode 1.1.0 (You Cannot Do That)" then it would be a bit more acceptable to have major changes.

whats the policy on youtube videos? are square shills mass flagging? I've seen some channel binned the moment they show stuff but hour long videos playthroughs are staying up.

I'll just pirate it next year on PC.

You really think they would have overlooked something like that?

Because they only care about the result, not the way it's reached. That's why they break Jessie's leg in order to get Cloud to go on the mission. In the original timeline, Jessie did go on the mission, but that doesn't matter, what matters is that Cloud goes on the mission so he ends up falling down to the church.

Can you tell me why it wouldn't work?

Don't mind me

Attached: rekt.png (1332x688, 1.12M)

The game unlocks when it can verify the date using online. If by some chance you downloaded the digital version and lost your internet, you wouldn't be able to play even on the release date, unless it can connect to the servers to verify and unlock it.

I've had a couple of days to digest after finishing the game.
My current feeling is that although I mostly enjoyed the game, I was utterly baffled by the Whispers stuff and the final two fights even though they were actually pretty cool from a visual and action perspective. The most grating part of it for me wasn't the fact that there is a twist and that it isn't a true remake, but that the characters suddenly become completely different and start talking in what I can only term as "Kingdom Hearts-speak" every time the Whispers appear and from the moment you reach the end of the highway. Especially Sephiroth and Aerith, using vague obscure dialogue that doesn't mean anything concrete. I wouldn't have been as annoyed if they'd just changed the story without the destiny/precognition/timetravel devices and themes and the KH-level dialogue. It's very obvious a specific writer wrote those parts: Kazushige Nojima.

Still, I don't dislike it as much as I disliked Advent Children and the Compilation games. Besides the tacked on timeline plot, I still had a lot of fun seeing stuff from the original reenacted, I love the character and enemy models, the boss fights, the combat is feels great if a bit easy. A lot of the character interactions are great and I loved the Jessie, Biggs and Wedge chapter. The fight against Rufus is pure kino.
All in all, I had fun. If people go in with high expectations for a faithful remake they're going to lose their shit, but frankly if that was their expectation, they're foolish to have forgotten about the Compilation over a decade ago. What some people desire would've required an alternate timeline of our own where Squaresoft still existed and didn't become Square Enix.
Look at it like a FF VII themepark, as FF XIV is a themepark for the entire series. The rides will be recognizable and fun, with some bizarro alternate universe twists, and you'll have the comfort of not having it "replace" the original's status in any way.
