I loved the original P5 but I'll get Royal when it's cheaper. After Catherine Full Body I just don't feel like buying another rerelease at full price.

I legit didn't know it was coming out until the day before. It's pretty fun, but its hard to tell what's changed and what I just don't remember from playing it forever ago. I like more options in combat but I feel like enemies haven't gotten much stronger to compensate for it.

The new palace alone is honestly worth the price. Makes me wish that they handled more of the palaces in vanilla P5 like it.

Like the other user said, there are enough small changes throughout the game to freshen up the experience, but goddamn the designs and story of that new palace are something else.

The original game had flaws but it was reasonably well balanced and the story was tight with the least down time of the 3 modern Persona games.

This rerelease completely obliterated the balancing and just adds a pointless filler episode right when the ending gets good only for it to loop back around to that point when you're done. It's a hack job

I have just started the second palace with Madarame or whatever, Yuseke has not joined my team BUT I held a meeting about chasing a target in mementos and for some reason his dialogue was still in the cutscene

Read an interesting opinon the other day which I thought was quite true.

The first chapter with Kamoshida is probably the best in the series, its so much better when its somewhat grounded like 4 kids trying to expose a teacher who harrasses kids

after that it just get ridiculous, they should just stick to a 4 person team for the whole game and flesh them out over a student year instead of piling on more and more characters with crazy stories

They really should've just given you 6 or 7 of the PTs to start with then introduced the next 2-3 over the next months. Then use the remaining 3 months to flesh out the characters more.

Making all the oppositions scooby-doo villains wasn't the best move either. Royal showed how much more interesting a palace can be with a morally grey antagonist.

Kasumi is mishandled in the amount of time that you can acutally use her as a party member, but the way she is introduced very early on and gets scenes well before she is even a party member is how late game party members in the series should be handled. They shouldn't just pop into existence like Haru did in the Okumura arc.

They didn't cut them, they just rewrote them to try and get across the "dumb high school kids in an area they're not supposed to be in" intent that they didn't properly localize in the vanilla script. The issue obviously being that retortera is never happy and hates non-American cultures.

I already have persona 5 and I dont feel like it's worth buying again.

Because I'm not really in a huge rish to play through such a long game again just to see the extras, also I think a lot of people are still holding out for a switch port.

i'm not buying it because they didn't let us transfer our social stats from the original. plus there's too many other games i'm looking forward to at the moment. it looks great though and i'll probably buy it on sale in a year or two.

can't wait for this to get announced and released on the switch so i can pirate it.
