This game looks like shit, will never have custom map support, and is blatantly designed for the chink audience.

This is Apex Legends but with even less to offer. I imagine a decent number of CS pros will jump over to compete in the tournaments, but leave the second Riot stops pumping money into the prize pools.

In this case it's likely.
For some reason Riot's giving out not Closed Beta keys but Closed Beta ACCESS via Twitch Drops. So tons of people are sitting in Drop Enabled streams hoping RNG will give them an invite and when they do they run off to play. And yesterday they ran the drops for most of the day so a lot more people probably got keys. So when a majority of viewers are just there to get to play the beta, it makes sense if player counts increase while viewer counts decrease.

Nope. Managed to get a key after like four hours in the Rivals stream just to learn I now have to deal with Riot support so they put me in the right region because I'm in the European one for some fucking reason despite being in the US.

They're going to trickle feed keys into the community for probably the next week to try and keep the view count high, and then the game is going to drop off like a rock because it's boring to watch.

You can't really farm keys, because you need to link your Twitch account to your Riot account for the drops to even be enabled. If anything it deters from key reselling because if anyone wanted to bot for reselling they'd need to be making entire dummy accounts for Riot and then selling those accounts to people who probably already have Riot accounts and access is non-transferrable.

Dunno why you think that's illegal. Either way drops have been a thing for a while now and having multiple accounts doesn't increase your chances actually, they knew people would be viewbotting with multiple accounts so they limited it. Only way to bypass this limit is using VPN for every other account.
