No need to do that in old Eureka, they are super easy to get now. It's irrelevant content. You can probably reach Hydatos within a week after the exp buff and echo.
If they make those poetic-able in be Eureka, everyone will just buy them with poetics instead.

Maybe if they took a note from FFXI and let you unlock shortcuts as you progressed the story/zone gimmick instead of relying solely on aetherytes. Long as they don't stoop down to blockading spots with Reives though like Adoulin did to force you to fight to proceed. Least the music for it was good.

The WoL can move between the Source and First freely.
When the Scions return the WoL will still have a couple of things to do in the First.
-Helping Ryne and Gaia with the final Eden raids.
-Completing the Yorha raid.
-Stopping Elidibus from whatever he's doing.

I think 5.4 will still primarily be in the First. 5.5 would be the prelude to 6.0 and will be mostly back in the Soruce.
