I have a fucked up left thumb that I had fucked up since I was a kid so having to bend my thumb and use the tip to move the left stick (as you're supposed to do) puts a strain on it that I begin to feel after a few hours of gaming. Since Sony's dualshock sticks are lower, my thumbs are more straightened out and I feel less strain.

It's a legitimate design flaw, though. I wash my hands at least once an hour and I still find dirt in the crevices of my DS4 all the time. Uni-body designs with few seams and little detailing is where it's at, that's a large part of why Apple's shit always sells so well.
