gross and outdated. what's the appeal

t.

who put the left stick and d-pad in wrong spots and why are the buttons shapes and numbers

garbage d-pad
sticks wear down

>2 hour battery life

maybe if you have the hands of a child

Hello, we are the winners of every generation due to the great and original design of all our controllers.

Ye if you buy one from china
Mine last at least 10 hours before i charge it
Also fuck the ds5 with that shitty built-in mic

>Huge LED that drains battery and is useful only to the 0.01% of userbase who use PS Move camera
>Battery only lasts a day in comparison to Dualshock 3's like 3 days of non-stop use
>Gimmick features (touchbar, speaker) that were once again never embraced by developers (Dualshock 3's pressure sensitive buttons).

I mean I still use it on PC instead of my old DS3 but only because it's not as worn out.

>n64 made for three arm goblins
>GC with that hilariously inefficient D-pad and paltry 2nd analog stick
>fucking wii controller...nuff said
>drifting shitch with buttons in place of an analog stick

god damn

Split controllers is a fucking great idea, today I played NSMBWii on dolphin with my son while using Joycons, fun as hell.

Dualshock 2 was better. I was also disappointed they didn't use something similar to Vita d-pad

>Horrendous battery life
>Share and Options are the size of tic tacs
>Big stupid light on front
>Big stupid bar in the middle

Guess again chief. The new controller does look worse though

it took buying an Xbone controller for me to truly realize everything that's wrong with Dualshock 4

>those garbage chinkshit sticks
>all that wasted space in the middle
>gimmicks

These are poorly made and conk out after just moderate use

Why would you need 16 directions on a d-pad?

i am really fucking annoyed that they changed the trackpad for the dualsense. all they've done is made it harder to work with by giving it that weird shape

Xbone controller's better, DS4 sticks are dogshit, so are the triggers.

I will find you and the fuck the shit out of you, girl. Don't you badmouth Sony!

t. But this is the closest.

>girl
Says the bitch with the babby hands

Look at that shitty fucking dpad

Hence, it truly doesn’t exist. Because other than that D-pad, it’s perfect. The Xbone controller is a downgrade.

This is a controller for people who play boring video games

10 hours feel like 2 when you're playing games on ps4 desu, that's how fun it is

>Huge LED that drains battery
You're a retard.

Baby hands get the milk first!

However you need to cope. Works on PC.

The current xbone controller is almost perfect, it just needs to be a little bigger

this

It does drain the battery, I know that for a fact because you can turn it off on PC and it lasts much longer.

Oh yeah? Are you implying it doesn't, because after I've manually disabled it on PC battery life improved significantly. The most you can do on PS4 is make it slightly dim.

I have to cope pretty fucking hard trying to play anything that uses digital movement or 4 shoulder buttons simultaneously actually, yes. Decent bit for anything that actually needs analog stick precision compared to a DS2 or DS3 as well.

Don't even get me started on how much coping I have to do because of slow turn.

Oh the irony.

>literally the perfect handfeel, stick placement, stick grip, weight, balance, build quality, triggers, button actuation, button depth, aesthetic, etc

Put in a better D-pad, allow me to turn off the LEDs and maybe make the bumpers a bit more robust and it’s actually perfect. Shocked that microsoft went from THE DUKE to S-series to THIS masterpiece.

Nope. Too flat, sticks too heavy and built to accommodate Sonytrannies with the grips on the side that chafe your thumbs, and it weighs too much in the front. It’s worse.

>dualshock doing anything better other than falling apart
Lmao

>...left stick and d-pad in wrong spots

The fuck? Fuck off with your babby hands, tranny

Imagine being a blackedfag right now and having to deal with the superiority of the BWC

So true lol, i was surprised when i saw 23+h in P5R yesterday

>Baby hands
False. The flat front accommodates smaller hands.

Holy shill

Just give me x360 shape with PS4 face buttons and xbone shoulders and dpad. Why is it so hard? Every new controller is one step forward, 2 backwards.

>ps4 buttons
Why?

Why do Xcoxsuckers think asymmetrical stick placement is good? It's shit, it's cumbersome and you only think it feels good because of the controller ergonomics, not because of the actual stick placement.

Flat surface with better texture

All of those controller are copies of pre-existing controller models from other companies that never caught on. Nintendo is the biggest jew in gaming.

>have to buy real controllers separately for stupid prices since the Wii
Gee thanks Nintendo

Buttons > Chicklets

perfection
peak controller
mutants hate it

I guess because they're flatter so they're less strain on your thumbs? Xbox buttons are very rounded so I could see them hurting if you're a spaz who can't control themselves.

I think MS shot themselves in the foot only using that ridiculous looking d-pad in promo shots
it also comes with a normal one that you can switch in

The best button and stick placement is like the wii u pro controller and should be adopted by both sony and ms because it makes the most sense for modern games

>you only think it feels good because it feels good
Only trannyhands like your symmetrical thumb bumping design. Asymmetrical allows for full 360 degree unimpeded movement for man hands.

Reminder that in terms of ergonomics and button/stick placement this is the peak of design.

Xbone controllers feel good, but man, they really are poorly made.
Sony have always had terrible controllers, idk how anyone can like them.

overpriced as fuck and lack touchpad.

I feel like Xbone controllers are very well made. maybe it's just the harder-feeling plastic and stiffer sticks but it just feels more solid in the hands. Like it's super dense.

I was about to buy it multiple times, if only for the paddles, but then I scroll to the reviews and it's all "drift drift drift, not registering button presses, cover coming off" which is totally unacceptable at this price, any price really.

>have to strain on your right hand for precision button presses rather than the easier continuous correction of a stick
“No!”
Imagine mashing Y in that setup. Imagine.

and yet my xbone controller has stick drift and my ds4 doesn't and I used the ds4 for much longer.

You're wrong. If your thumbs are less than 45 degrees from your index finger, you have less acting torque than if it were 90 degrees from your index. You are using less torque and movement from your left thumb finger on an Xbox controller compared to your right. This is precisely why the Dualshock uses proper alignment, your fingers are applying the same amount of torque which is natural.

>muh unequal torque
Yeah, no shit, they also conflict with eachother when you’re close, forcing you to use the sides of the thumb stick instead of the indent like a chad. It’s far less precise. Sony fucked up.

Mine's is the opposite, right stick on the DS4 drifts to the left and my Xbone controller's been going strong since I got it, whenever the S came out.

based wii u chads

>X and Y right next to the power and start buttons
Yikers

>Yeah, no shit, they also conflict with eachother when you’re close
What kind of freak thumbs do you have? I have pretty big hands and my thumbs never meet together on a DS4, even with the thumbsticks moved towards each other.

Bretty sure you have to hold the power button for it to do anything, but obviously it can be tweaked for the playstation/xbox

>didn’t read the rest
You’re using the sticks like a retard

That barbarian must use his thumb knuckles to control the stick instead of the tip

Dualshock is the way it is because the first PS controller was just a snes controller with handles. And when Nintendo made the analog stick popular again Sony just added the sticks in the empty space on the bottom to save on costs.

>X Y next to the much tinier and taller start buttons
>Powe button is imbeded deeper so it's not activated on accident

Lmao retard.

Based. It's crazy how comfortable the Wii U controllers are.

if it helps those issues eventually got solved so it's actually good now

Can you turn it off on pc and then use it on a ps or will the setting be overwritten?

*strains fingers to hit Y*
You OCD retards are all the same. There is literally no good reason why Xbox style stick placement isn’t the best.
